  1. the "classic albums live" band is usually quite good, they go out on a limb to nail it... the whole catalog??? jebus imagine Mike Daley will be on board... if you're quite the Beatles fan, and they are doing the whole catalog, why not then be sure to also catch The Eggmen at Pepperjacks Dec. 28
  2. awww, no colonel is kinda a drag... that guy freaks me out, though he really didn't do a ton of participating at the last PJC show (no matter where in the room I was and took a picture of him from, just as I'd hit the button, the colonel would unfailingly turn and smile directly into the camera... side stage, back of the bar, bottom of the stairs... freaky) thankfully the all star line-up last time got me to the show and intruduced me to the rest of the band, who really did most of the exceptional work... aside from Herring still be a killer show
  3. Happy Birthday indeed! hoping to bump into ya over the holidays MuleMomma! Salute!

    Screwed

the billion dollar PR firm hired by Big Oil to hire retired scientists to question the vast majority of scientific researchers who study climate change, is the exact same company that Big Tobacco hired in the 50's (through the 90's) to cause the public to question whether second-hand smoke is harmful at all to anyone (although the majority of research showed it was obviuosly harmful back in the 50's) same basic argument: "Thats not a turd in the middle of the living room carpet. Tax guaging / bleeding-heart liberal / special interest groups are twisting the facts to make you believe you see a turd in the middle of the living room carpet. There is no viable evidence that there is a turd in the middle of the living room carpet, no matter what you think you see."

thats some avatar Del =) maybe the calendar might be better at the bottom of the page, if the sidebar doesn't work well for it... if you're wonderin whats happenin you could scroll down, but if you don't care whats happening you're not bombarded and yeah, not a big fan of the avatar-less article threads anyways, time ta slip outta here...

    web hosts

free = limited good (banner ads, or some sorta hook somewhere)... tell your friend its worthwhile to dole out the $5 to $10 a month for a real server and save themselves headaches down the road (from the get-go actually)... if it absolutely isn't worth $5 a month to them then I'd suggest Googling for free hosting (edited aloof comment) haven't used free hosting since Angelfire a decade ago... angelfire closed its doors, think lycos took it over don't know if geocities still does the free hosting if its for a singer, why not just build them a free myspace page? here's an informative webhost thread posted shortly ago I've used networx hosting mainly because they have a local office with good support, and a good selection of tools loaded onto the back-end of the server that I actually find useful... been meaning to look into other hosts though for interests sake (which'd be why I have the webhost thread bookmarked... thanks contributors!) have fun!
  10. yeah, we took the first bus to toronto that morning... once we were there (and 7000th or so in line) I desperately wished we had come out the night before... the 2 cars that the line went over were flattened to about a foot high by the time our spot in the line reached them, looked like they'd been run over by a tank even with my little incidents it was a vividly memorable day, moreso than the concert I'm afraid
  11. waiting in a line with 8,000 people for the first "final" Who tour tickets, I got stabbed and hit by a car and waited 9 hours in cold drizzle for Grey section nosebleed seats (1981 or so I think?)... took those factors as pretty obvious omens and made sure that was my last "final" Who tour concert... that and the band played to the tv cameras and didn't really pull out anything special other than perform their quite old popular material exactly the same as they'd written it originally, no signs of growth from the band as a whole imo... though I enjoyed Townsend's energy that show as well glad people had a decent time
