I'm working the MMVAs on Saturday and Sunday, during the day. After my Saturday shift, which will include monitoring soundchecks by some of the world's worst acts such as Justin Bieber, Adam Lambert, Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Drake, Hedley and Miley Cyrus, I'll be staggering up Yonge Street to have my soul cleansed by Iggy & The Stooges.

The new sweater (remember the term, which was used for almost 90 years until the Bettman era?) would be better if the old leaf was on front. The modern leaf is bland, just like the team. However, I think Dion was a good choice for captain.

It's a bit frustrating that Bold is now in HD but there's no CBC-HD West offered yet. I think I have conflicts when The Tudors starts up again.

I'm shocked that I have yet to see Uruguayan players diving all over the pitch and/or crying to ref en masse. Craig Forrest said that the Uruguayans are the worst for sportsmanship he's ever played against.

I believe I read during head-to-head games, Bold would be picking up some of the games?

Just in time for the tournament: Rogers has included Bold-HD in their HD cable package, which means all the games will be shown live and in HD. In Toronto, it's channel #548.

I have more issues with all the songs being the same tempo; they tend to blend together.

I was aware of the table minimum going in, however I wasn't aware that the servers would be indisposed for most of the night, making meeting a minimum bill requirement nearly impossible. I had to buy drinks at the bar, which of course didn't count. I felt sorry for the family beside me that got strong-armed by the bastard manager.

I'm luke warm towards the new album. It's pretty dour and gloomy; it's also mostly mid-tempo, so the songs tend to sound alike. However, the new stuff sounded great in concert.

Nice TV ratings for the game last night. I also heard that the weekend game beat the Indy 500.

I said to Les that I wished I could play jazz guitar and he said he wished he could play blues better. I saw the manager of the club force a family to buy t-shirts, mugs and CDs to reach the table minimum... and he didn't ask the table in a "gentle" manner. Fucking assholes.

I saw and met Les the year before he died at the Iridium. Great show and a nice man. BTW, the club holds around 160 or more. They squeeze you in and the club is run by draconian assholes.

I didn't enjoy seeing Hossa and Kane hoisting the Cup, but it was a good game between two great teams (and I like both).

I'd love to hit up the first two album concerts since I've gone to the last three tours. However, the hardest hitting gig should be Z.

I'm a 5 minute walk to the Danforth Music Hall, but I can't go to either show. Fucking hell.
