  1. I'm a giant fan of John Wayne, westerns and a big fan of the original. I think the Coens will do a great job on the remake.
  2. I only skim your comments. Andy made a point to talk about his assault incident with the woman in Halifax. I vaguely knew what he was talking about, and I certainly felt uncomfortable. It was a good night though despite that.
  3. Haha' date=' ask him when he plans on breaking out the bicycle horn on his show, lame.[/quote'] I never listen to him until a month ago. I'm not a fan.
  4. I'm glad Jim's son, Brian, has been keeping his dad's legacy alive while also adding to it (Farscape etc...).
  5. With CTV carrying the Daily Show, Colbert and now Conan, CBC may be doing the right thing here. CTV loves to pat themselves on the back regarding ratings, but CBC destroys them in the homegrown/original programming department.
  6. I'm in the Fan 590 luxury suite Friday with new morning man Andy Krystal. I hope for his sake I don't strangle him by the 2nd inning.
  7. Unfortunately, Bautista's 50th came at 12:35 today, and on Sportsnet One.
  8. Bautista hits #50! Halladay won his 20th the other day too.
  9. Steve Nash directed "Into the Wind", a doc about his hero and greatest Canadian. Nash screened the film at this year's TIFF and it already aired on ESPN. I can't wait to see this. It's on TSN2 at 7pm.
  10. The Fan and Sportsnet had entire segments dedicated to the memory of Pat Burns, even when the Fan's own news said he wasn't dead. Fucking embarrassing, unprofessinal and sickening.
  11. He's not dead yet, according to his son. Well, he was still alive at noon today. Media have been pulling the story.
  12. This is cleansing away a bad day of music at work right now:
  13. Khalid Askri thought he saved a kick in a Moroccan Cup game. However, the FAR Rabat goalkeeper showboated a little prematurely. The impending goal stood and the other team went on to the quarter-finals (knocking out FAR Rabat, 12-time league champs):

I didn't know he is in the Gourds (I barely know their music). It now makes sense. Both versions of "Gin & Juice" are excellent.

I can't believe this dude covered a song I hate, and made it good.
  16. Some gay gormet chef porn can contain some nasty viruses. But seriously, I don't think you have the "here you have" virus, but its been making quite a name for itself: http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/article/859100--here-you-have-virus-attacks-email-servers
  17. That Lennon-Halen mash-up sounds awesome when compared to this bluegrass version:
  18. I just voted... for Tireless Sedans. Great stuff Dave!
  19. I picked "Dreams" because I'll never tire of it and I think it's still the best white blues song ever.
  20. I'd love to see an animated "Dreams" next.
  21. I wish there was one more element to this video: Dickey rejoining the fold. But if you've watched or heard his embarrassing recent live work with Great Southern, the chance of a rejoining is unlikely and unwelcome (I believe he's retired from touring, which is good news for those that have seen the cringe-worthy 2005 DVD/HD-Net concert, Back Where It All Begins: Live at the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame & Museum).
  22. Jays and Rogers are still getting pounded by fans. One thing that I forgot to mention is that a large percentage of Canadians still don't have digital boxes, so they are shit out of luck.
