  1. Is it possible that Bell's non-bit-torrent-using customers *are* experiencing slow downs at peak hours and Bell is just responding to the need that all customers have fair access to the bandwidth? The bandwidth will run out at some point, won't it? As to the legality of switching plans, false advertising, etc... that's a bit of a double-edged sword considering that a lot of bit-torrent traffic is used to illegally acquire protected material.
  2. My excitement was dulled when I read that owners expect attendance in the 2500 - 3000 range to be a viable business. I think 1000 would be optimistic.
  3. I was under the impression that part of the allure of the CanAm league for Ottawa is that they'd get to play other Canadian cities and thus build up stronger rivalries than the Lynx did. But as far as I can tell Quebec City is the only other Canadian city with a team. Who wants to start suggesting names?
  4. Is that the same show that was aired on CBC a few months back? I can't remember anything about it. I don't even know if I liked it or not. It's quite possible I was wasted at the time.
  5. He won't do anything. Why not? Laziness? Spite? Ulterior motive? What reason would he have to keep you onboard even if he doesn't want you?
  6. On the brightside, 2 game scoring streak for Mezaros!
  7. Pacini's on St. Joseph is pretty good for breakfast. Bunch of creative menu items in the Italian style. Their gimmick is the all-you-can-eat bread bar where you can toast various types of bread with various types of toppings to your hearts content.
  8. Don't worry, I already beat you by about 8 hours. http://www.jambands.ca/sanctuary/showtopic.php?tid/244055/ Kidding aside, this is great news. I can't wait to go to their last two games.
  9. Been to Ginger a couple of times on Jaimoe's recommendation. It's a must stop whenever I'm in Toronto now.

  12. Thanks for the thread Basher... now to kill six birds with one stone: Happy Birthday Sloth!! Happy Birthday C-Towns!! Happy Birthday Katlady!! Happy Birthday Judd Nelson!! Happy Birthday Gateaux!! Happy Birthday Large Marge!!
  13. This quotation near the beginning of the story is brilliant:
  14. Not to be a party pooper but do you know if Ramsay is going to actually be there that night? The price is surprisingly reasonable.
  15. What a tragedy for his family. RIP. Not to make light of this but I imagine the subject line might be kind of jarring for the skanks who don't follow sports.
  16. Found this thread on a CFL board. Even if you're not a CFL fan but you'd like an inside peek into the broadcasting biz, it's a fairly interesting read. Ask Elliotte
  17. I wouldn't turn down one of those!
  18. Sad news. These guys were huge when I was in grade 7. Those suspenders were horrible though Kevin.
  19. This makes me feel much better. I got a Sens jersey with your name on it Hal!
  20. Oh yeah. There's nothing wrong with experimentation but I find a grilled cheese's taste ratio to be inversely proportional to its fanciness. Nothing beats Velveeta on Wonder Bread.
