  1. I really want to have breakfast with you and MarcO now. Aloha, Brad
  2. I really want to have breakfast with you now. Aloha, Brad
  3. I've got Keller Williams 2003-11-15 on right now, smack in the middle of "Bob Rules" (for those who haven't heard, Bob Barker is retiring from 'The Price Is Right'). Aloha, Brad
  4. JimmyB has used up his complete prescription and the only drug he is now on is life. I've heard of this "life" stuff, but never really had any. Anybody know where I can get some? Aloha, Brad
  5. I find a lot of places don't get the home fries right, as I want them to be crispy, and too often, they're mushy and just heated through. Aloha, Brad
  6. I remember a sandwich called the "French Dipt Ham & Cheese" at Diana Sweet's, a downtown Toronto restaurant back in the 1970s. It was a ham and cheese sandwich, but was dipped in batter and deep-fried. Lord a-mighty, it was good. Aloha, Brad
  7. I've been a couple times (though not in the last few years). You pay your money to get in, and from then on, you exchange tickets (you may be given some with your entrance fee; they're also available for purchase, at fifty cents [or so] per ticket) for samples at the various booths around the floor. Different samples will cost different numbers of tickets: some will be two tickets, some will be three, some will be a lot more than that. You can also get brochures and flyers and things from some of the booths. It can be a fun night, but can also be frustrating, as you usually can't actually buy (and walk away with) anything. If you find, say, a wine that you like, you will have to go track it down from the LCBO. (I've been to wine tasting nights put on by the LCBO, and they're a lot better, because they'll have an order desk, so you just keep track of which wines you want, place your order, wait a week or two, and pick it up at your local LCBO outlet.) If you've never been, definitely go; be prepared to spend more than the door fee, though. (And they also have a lot of different foods, too, so if you're not into wine, there's still lots to see/sample.) Aloha, Brad
  8. According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eric%27s_Trip Aloha, Brad
  9. Cool. Assuming my schedule works as planned, I'll have my minimal rig with me (SP-BMC3 stealth mics > SP-SPSB1 battery box > JB3), so I might be able to record it if you're not there. Aloha, Brad
  10. can, has the Sisters schedule for the latter half of December been arranged? I doubt they'll be playing on Monday, Dec. 25 (though seeing Kevin dressed up as Santa or an elf might be fun...), but what about Monday, Dec. 18? I'm hoping to get to Toronto for the holidays on Dec. 18 (David Lauzon is playing here in Ottawa on Dec. 17 ), so if I could take in a Sisters show, that'd be blastular. Aloha, Brad
  11. I did them in the toaster oven last night, in oven mode at 425F, but thought about just toasting them. I'll give that a try next time. (Tonight, I'm thinking about pitas stuffed with a scrambled egg mixture: onions, Hungarian pepper, cheese, cherry tomotoes, provolone cheese.) Aloha, Brad
  12. Blues Traveler 1999-06-28 from The Warfield. It popped up as a "recently reviewed" show on the LMA, and got 5/5 stars, so I thought I'd give it a try. Surprise, surprise, Phil Lesh and Merle Saunders show up as guests! I'm also currently downloading Ween 2005-10-31 from the Hard Rock Cafe in Las Vegas; the show was part of the Vegoose At Night series last year, and I was there, so I'll be reliving that one later. Aloha, Brad
  13. That was some of the best pizza I've had in recent memory. A key addition, I think, was the quartered cherry tomatoes: they added cool bit of texture to the whole thing. Aloha, Brad
  14. Nope, it would require an amendment to the constitution, not just "legislation." Amending the constitution in the USA requires support at the federal level (house and senate, and more than just a 50% + 1, either a 2/3 or 3/4 majority) as well as ratification by the individual states (and support from a certain number of them, with the supporting states having a certain percentage of the population). Even if there was enough support (which I strongly doubt), there is no way all that can be done by early 2008, which is the time period in which the Republicans will have to choose their candidate. Aloha, Brad
  15. I don't (yet) have any Breau records, but I've been thinking of picking up Hallmark Sessions, which were his first recordings, backed by Levon Helm and Rick Danko; they were done in 1961, and unreleased (and pretty much forgotten) for over 40 years. Does anybody have this one? Aloha, Brad
  16. Ask for volunteers to transfer, track, and upload them! Aloha, Brad
  17. Please tell me that show was recorded. Aloha, Brad
  18. I think my favourite is/was "Uh, we're not really supposed to have beer in here guys..." (I remember the circumstances, as I was there, but don't think I was actually present when those words were uttered.) Aloha, Brad
  19. I'd love to go, but Saturday doesn't work me, as I'll be going to Le Petit Chicago in Hull for The Souljazz Orchestra, and want to get there by about 9pm-ish (with my gear, which precludes going to the F&W show and then going to the show). Would Friday night work for people? Aloha, Brad
  20. Unfortunately, there's no nero log for that date/show. If you could extract the audio, rip it to MP3, zip it, and upload it to something like sendspace or yousendit, I could download it, give it a listen, and try to figure out a set list (with time codes). Aloha, Brad
  21. As far as I've heard, they're only available on-line at the moment: http://www.mavericksbar.com/boxoffice/ Aloha, Brad
  22. George W. Bush can't be relected: he's in his second term, and that's the limit for Presidents. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twenty-second_Amendment_to_the_United_States_Constitution Aloha, Brad
  23. How about professionally? Aloha, Brad
  24. I think I found my answer. According to http://allrecipes.com/recipe/pita-pizza-2/detail.aspx 8 minutes at 425F should do the trick (with the pitas warmed for a minute or so before the toppings are added). Aloha, Brad
  25. I actually mis-read the subject, and thought she wrote, "Oh moe is We!!!!", which I thought indicated a strong feeling of comraderie with a favourite band from upstate NY... Aloha, Brad
