  1. Really? I fell in love with "Live/Dead" about four bars into "Dark Star". In fact, I picked up my guitar and was playing along with it during my first listen, which I try not to do with new records. What did you think you loved at that time? What do you think of that now? Or a bong story. Aloha, Brad
  2. According to http://www.jambase.com/search.asp?eventID=483304 Emily Haines, of Metric and Broken Social Scene fame, will be doing a solo show at The Bronson Centre in Ottawa on January 5, 2007. Aloha, Brad
  3. That was a nice, read guigsy. (The Golden Dogs tune you referred to as "when the saints go marching in" is actually titled "Saints At The Gates.") Aloha, Brad
  4. There is now some history/photos/setlists/etc. about the Colorado '88 shows: http://www.phish.com/colorado88/ Aloha, Brad
  5. In Ottawa obedience schools, 60% of the dogs are high on toads at any given time, or so Mayor Bob Chiarelli says. Aloha, Brad

Another option would be to make them for (and sell them to) this other person, but take all the money you make and give it to charity. This may be better if this other person can sell a lot more of them than you can. You might also try negotiating with this person, and try to get him/her to reduce his/her margins, or donate proceeds to charity (which could be a promotional point). Aloha, Brad
  7. Chiarelli needs to be called on this one. I want some reporter to press him, hard, on the source of these numbers, and have Chiarelli either produce the source, or admit his numbers are incorrect. Aloha, Brad

Scoliosis Barbie? Kyphosis Ken would go along with it, too. (Scoliosis is a side-to-side curve in the spine, and is mostly seen in young/teenage girls. Kyphosis is a forward [back-to-front] curve in the spine, and is mostly seen in young/teenage boys. I had kyphosis in high school, and wore a neck-to-waist back brace for about two years [most of the day, and overnight] in high school.) Aloha, Brad
  9. This one's for Douglas: Aloha, Brad

I told you you'd be cranky if you skipped naptime. No cookies for you, Booche. Aloha, Brad
  11. This is a plain'n'simple complement to scottieking's question of yesterday: What time do you get to bed at night and how do you feel about it? My answer: on nights when I'm not at a show, about 9:00pm; on nights when I'm at a show, between 2:00am and 3:00am. Either way, I'm usually very glad to lay down; sleeping is one of my favourite activities, and I think I need more of it than most, so bedtime is (a) happytime for me. Aloha, Brad
  12. Inglewood Jack may have to exhibit jaydawgular behaviour in this topic... Aloha, Brad
  13. I've already got my costume. Aloha, Brad
  14. And don't forget to have some poutine, too, but have the fork in the other hand... Aloha, Brad
  15. I can't seem to get it to play more than about five seconds at a stretch without it pausing to go buffer some more video. (At least with something like YouTube, I can pause the video, go do something else while it buffers a lot of content, then go watch it uninterrupted. With this site, that doesn't seem to work.) Aloha, Brad

  17. You're expecting to get to bed/sleep before 9am after the night of Jan. 12? Aloha, Brad
  18. Often, when I hear about a new, suprising project by a well known and renowned artist, I wonder, "If he/she takes that on the road, will he/she allow taping?" This is not one of those times. Aloha, Brad
  19. You're wecome. c-towns was looking for something to do in Toronto on Saturday, and when I saw WC two nights in a row, I figured something was awry. Aloha, Brad

  22. Jay, the jambase listings for WC show them in Toronto at the Elmo on Friday and Saturday, with them also in Saint John on Saturday. I assume this is a (correctable) mistake? Aloha, Brad
  23. I think kookycanooky recorded at least Lauzon. Aloha, Brad
