I can't believe we're down to Eric Clapton and Frank Zappa. I find this unbelievable in that I hate both of these musicians. Zappa was unique in his field the way Sharon, Lois and Bram rocked the kid's music world.

Didn't you Zappatistas ever wonder why a guy who was dead sober attracted so many drug addicts? Don't you see the universal Chi obstruction that that muppet was causing? And more importantly why on earth did ANYONE eliminate David Bowie.

I suppose if I immunized Eric Clapton I'd probably get a punch in the ribcage at some future point, and besides, he's my least favourite of who's left, so I choose Frank Zappa for immunity today.

Seriously, I can do that kind of thing on nothing but coffee. I almost wrote a pair of programs, one to output the characters, and another to wrap each one in the colors, but I had character set problems on my Linux box. Instead, I went nuts with copy'n'paste from Character Map to Notepad, then copied'n'pasted the color stuff in.

I've spent hours at a stretch hand-building databases involving about 30 tables, and with a heavily normalized schema, so that kind of copying'n'pasting is second nature to me.

My only fear was that I'd get it almost right, post my answer, then have someone quote it, tweak it to be correct, and usurp my rightful place as Immunity Man for May 19. Luckily, Low_Roller was on the ball to proclaim my correctness.

Day 4 results

Claptonmania comes to a screeching halt!

The great underdog has finally fallen. Tonight there will be tears in heaven. After beating the odds all week, Clapton's good luck streak comes to a grinding halt. Bradm had the chance to prolong Clapton's lucky streak by winning the Immunity challenge, however Bradm decided to protect Zappa in his stead. However I fear that Bradm's choice was influenced by fear of physical reprisal against his person. Wise man.

So we're down to two people:

- John Coltrane

Clashing styles to say the least, so today's vote should be interesting to watch.

However, given that this is the CTMF week-end, if the final of Survivor is on, but there is nobody there to vote, does it really happen?
