Jaimoe
Because of the hurricane situation off the coast of Texas, gas prices are going to sky-rocket - some places in southern Ontario have seen fuel prices go as high as 1.75 or more a litre.FILL UP NOW... or better yet, take public transit... or walk, run or bike. PalacePrincess
some lady stopped me on the way to my car this morning & told me her son just called from london & gas was $2 there. maybe these prices are going up & down all over OR maybe not all the stations have raised them yet? it's supposed to be going up here (kitchener) today too. i just filled up at a shell for $103.9. it's probably less at smaller gas stations. hurry! dave-O
I just filled up for 111.9, with rumours that Sackville NB has hit the $2.00 mark. The gas stations are a zoo, line ups are blocking lanes of traffic, you'd think the hurricane was about to hit here.
SevenSeasJim
$1.08 here today. I don't mind paying higher prices for driving, but it's going to kill me for home heating oil this winter (900 litre tank - filled at least 3-4 times per winter)
Kaidy Mae
Wow SSJ, I sure am glad that I have a woodstove (even though choppin' wood is hardly the thing I'd like to be doing all summer). *shrug* Looks like I'll be making fewer trips to the Tdot now. dogatthestation
Yeah we were running errends this morning and realized we needed gas. When we went to the closest gas station we noticed there was a huge line. We drove around for a bit and noticed that every gas station in town seemed to have at least a 45min wait to get gas. We finally found a full-serve gas station that was 108.4/L which was like 4cents more expensive than selve serve, but no line. We ask the attendant and he said prices were suppose to be going over 2.00/L at some point today.
Kaidy Mae
A buddy of mine reported it being $1.80 in Windsor last night. I can just see his face when he pulled into the station. He must've shit!

dave-O
Ok, has anyone actually seen these rumoured high prices with their own eyes? Or is it still hearsay?I ask because gas is certainly not "2.05$/litre in monkeytown NB", it's still $1.12. Or at least it was 10 minutes ago. Kaidy Mae
The highest I know of (a close friend saw it last night) was the $1.80 in Windsor. It's been madness here on Molson's Drive in Barrie though. There are a lot of people in my office complex who drive H2s (at least 4). Gas price talk is just a buzzin'.I did hear on the radio though that a lot of the oil rigs in Texas were closed down due to the evacuation ordered. THAT will most certainly affect things (and even if it doesn't it'll still be used to justify criminal prices).
