I tried my best to get them to make a stop in Korea on their way to or from Japan.. The band was available and into it! Unfortunately my networking among promoters in Korea isn't up to snuff. I got in touch with 2 promoters; one wasn't interested and the other didn't even write back. So close yet so far..

Well, I'm glad that nobody went, because the show didn't happen.

Mark didn't make it across the border (fairly problematic issues), brad cut his finger AGAIN, and this all led to a no-show by the slip. Brad at least showed up to apologise to everyone, but it still sucks.

oh noooooo!

snelly phoned here at about 8:15, asking where the venue was... shitty! not that it's not easy to find some fun in montreal, but still to drive from ottawa... ah well. could be worse. could be raining.

edit: nice of brad to come and apologise, in any case.

yeah, at least they had a bunch of different performers who happened to be around come up and play a few songs each to fill the time, so it's not like we were sitting in silence. Plus, it was free.

Still not sure if this bodes well for the future of the Slip in Canada.
