bradm
I think it's actually Friday, August 25th, bouche. Their news blurb says Friday, Aug. 26th, but the calendar entry says Friday, Aug. 25th. (August 26th is Saturday.)Aloha,Brad

zero
Did anyone know that the japanese character used for the Slip is actually 'Slippers' so to the Japanese they are Slippers.
DevO
I tried my best to get them to make a stop in Korea on their way to or from Japan.. The band was available and into it! Unfortunately my networking among promoters in Korea isn't up to snuff. I got in touch with 2 promoters; one wasn't interested and the other didn't even write back. So close yet so far.. bouche
i wanna see The Slip, actually and URockeoke too (Felbar's in that band).A trip to montreal is too expensive right now. Any trip is. boooo!
Blane
Well, I'm glad that nobody went, because the show didn't happen. Mark didn't make it across the border (fairly problematic issues), brad cut his finger AGAIN, and this all led to a no-show by the slip. Brad at least showed up to apologise to everyone, but it still sucks.

meggo
oh noooooo!snelly phoned here at about 8:15, asking where the venue was... shitty! not that it's not easy to find some fun in montreal, but still to drive from ottawa... ah well. could be worse. could be raining.edit: nice of brad to come and apologise, in any case. Blane
yeah, at least they had a bunch of different performers who happened to be around come up and play a few songs each to fill the time, so it's not like we were sitting in silence. Plus, it was free.Still not sure if this bodes well for the future of the Slip in Canada.
Im going home Donny
When you say you don't know how this bodes for thier future in Canada - Do you mean in regards to the border problems?
