bouche
And here I sit always thinking that this shit doesn't happen here because of the lack of guns in peoples hands.I don't understand how these things can happen.
bouche
Geezuz...how many crazies were involved here?"An eyewitness told CBC News she was sitting outside Dawson College when she saw a tall, white man wearing a long black trench coat walk down the street with a large gun. He was with a number of other people, she said."
aberg83
This is just horrific... I can't believe what can posess people to do this sort of senseless act.
Jaimoe
Two gunmen dead and there may be another somewhere near or at the campus.
FunkyBeats
I guess we need to look at our own culture and determine how this can happen. No longer can we pretend this is an American problem, automatic weapons are available to teenagers in Canada as well as the U.S..
nattyMatty
Im racking my Brain to figure out Where dawson College is. Anyone know where abouts on the Island that it is located?
zero
Please don't say people are crazy it is really hurtful to me. I am really shook up just reading about this, partly because I know people who've gone to Dawson over the years and partly because I can tell just how awful and scary this must have been. Also I realize of course mental unbalance, or perhaps simply evil, is at the root.

Guest Low Roller
Montreal still hasn't healed from the 1989 shooting at the Ecole Polytechnique... This is a severely fucked-up situation.
Dr_Evil_Mouse
Here I am sitting in class here at Algonquin (class is over, I should add), reading this story, shaking my head.... I even remember having applied to teach there last year. Who's to say. We'll of course need to hear more of the full story to really say much more about this.I have had students go ballistic before, over bad grades, over personal tensions, over who knows what. I saw one kid go from high 90s to low 40s over the course of a year, and leave the final exam to take a baseball bat to a dozen random cars. In the first week of school here, I saw one girl have a panic attack in a hallway, and that was really messy. This is, though, really, really sad. bouche
so the only person that died was the single shooter it seems. The cops have confirmed that.Check out the interview on CNN with a kid who's friend was shot right beside him and he had to drag her out. It's heartbreaking.http://www.cnn.com/Sorry to call the shooter crazy. I was going call him an asshole, but then I'd offend assholes.
Guest Low Roller
One confirmed death besides the shooter...
FunkyBeats
Probably the head shot kid, apparently they couldn't transport for twenty minutes until the police secured the area and could ensure the paramedics safety. This is not the Canada I want to live in...
Blane
what a day. Chaos throughout the downtown, particularly among students. I had to teach at 3pm adn by that point there were students in tears, tons of confusion, etc. Such a terrible thing, and so impossible to understand what could be behind it all. AD
i'm not a supporter of the death penalty in any way, but i'm not too upset that the police got him and spared the families a trial.
The Chameleon
Why do mass shooting rampages in this counrty seem to always happen in Montreal??!! You would think Toronto would be the prime local?Strange.
rubberdinghy
Wow, it made front page on the CNN website. One of the injured has died.
ollie
I see that the Sun has decided to give this jerk his glory by plastering him across the front page. I really wish the media would resist the urge to sensationalize this guy's pathetic life. It's exactly the kind of celebrity that he and his ilk are after. Shame.
