Hot Kid kind of rocks ... 2 piece band reverse of White Stripes - Girl on Guitar Guy on Drums saw them at the Jimmy Jazz with Zero, they was cool.

Haven't ever seen Tacoma HFT but heard their stuff for the first time last week and was impressed.

Lemme know what the room is like NewRider, I am always looking to rock the suburbs.

Hmmm... if the Beggar's Banquet at the Corktown is the band that I think it is, than they're a tonne of fun. Obviously mostly Stones covers, but they do them well. Mind you I haven't seen them play for years, and don't even know if it's the same guys doing it. Last I knew it was Steve Strongman, maybe Jesse O'Brien, and Wheels. I'll be lying low Friday as I fly out on Saturday, otherwise I'd check these guys out...

I'm gonna go see "Low Key"' date=' they're playing in my living room Saturday night.[/quote']

ahahahahahahaha!!!!!! I hear they're pretty fun!

Yeah, I hear they have about 15,000 songs at their disposal. Even Caution Jam can't top that I bet. (maybe though)

ditto on the Golden Dogs call... the band puts out an awesome energy... soul savingly non-cliche, non-formula balls out rock and roll... like Elvis meant it to be

I tend to categorize it more as "power-pop" in the vein of The Who in the late 1960s; The Golden Dogs have put on some of the best club rock'n'roll shows I've ever seen. I keep using the word "exuberant" to describe their music/show, because there isn't anything stronger.

Aloha,

Brad
