A tip of the hat and endless respect for the Grand Poobah of the whole damn scene. I'm so glad that besides being unique and influential musically, Jerry always seemed like an honest, stand up human being.

I'll be forever glad that I took several oppourtunities to see Jerry do what Jerry did. Thank you man, thank you.

Inspiration, move me brightly. light the song with sense and color;

Hold away despair, more than this i will not ask.

Faced with mysteries dark and vast, statements just seem vain at last.

Some rise, some fall, some climb, to get to terrapin.

Happy Birthday Jerry!!!

Dead Devotees Come Alive at Band's Reincarnation

By PHIL KLOER

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Call it an omen, a consensual hallucination or a birthday greeting from beyond from Jerry Garcia, but as the Dead were winding up their first set Thursday night at HiFi Buys Amphitheatre, an enormous double rainbow suddenly appeared in the twilight sky.

The crowd, already dancing wildly to the band's cover of the Young Rascals song "Good Lovin'," erupted into huge cheers and pointed skyward as one.

Jerry!!!!!!!
