AD
terrible venue, physically. low stage, crammed on one side of the bar, low ceiling.awesome staff, owner, good atmosphere.but to answer your question, for live music i absolutely hate it. which sucks, because they actually get a lot of bands through that i like.i've seen heard soooooooo many good bands there. Booche
I am in agreement with AD. I wonder what Puddles would have to say about it.

Douglas
The women's bathroom is horrid. The bar is always sticky-icky and reeks of jager. The bartenders are great. The layout is awkward...however, if you wanna see the band, you gotta stand...which inevitably results in dance which is good for the crowd and good for the band. Freeker
Despite all of its shortcommings it is my favorite place to see a show in Ottawa, don't ask me why.
traveler
I was at a show -Jimmy Swift - they would'nt serve my friends because they were dancing and givn'r. At the end of the night Adam- the owner had us mellow people escorted out. Bummer. Must be fear of the bylaw cops.

Freak By Night
I liked the place better when it was called Fanny's.
Ms.Huxtable
I like Babylon. The sightlines are clear for the most part, the area in front of the stage to well beyond the pool tables that is. If you're standing in front of the stage, you can see, dance and hear great and that accommodates hundreds of people. The people who can't see and hear are off to the side in the table section. My opinion is the opposite of AD's, I like the stage, and physical layout. The staff has always been my beef with the place.
dave-O
I'm with Freeker and Ms Hux. For whatever reason, I always liked seeing shows at Babylon. And even more so, I loved playing that venue.
Im going home Donny
I really dig this spot but again..not entirely sure why.I know I'm allways comfy there.Asking bands might be a good idea as I've heard conflicting tales but that coulda just been clashing of oversized egos... AD
The sightlines are clear for the most partI've been 5 rows back at a show and I never saw the performers once, and it was the Sadies and they're over 6 feet tall. And I'm six feet tall. A lot of the shorter people I know refuse to go to shows there unless they push their way to the front.Great sounding venue though.
