bouche
I was blown the fuck away by george clinton and p funk. I think I got to get funked for the last 40 minutes and even made it to the front with my camera.I also realized that I had my little recorder with me so while I as back by the soundboard, where the place was FILLED with funk, I held it up for an experiment. It came out pretty well. Here's a sendspace of a snippet of the show.http://www.sendspace.com/file/nkpncc

ollie
That's an incredible photo dude! P-Funk brought it hard. Made me miss Los Lobos. But damn it was worth it.

Booche
Los Lobos made it worth missing George as far as I am concerned. They played a set filled with their Blues tunes which would have made Jaimoe proud even though I had hoped for more of their latino avenues. I think the opening tunes were Key To The Highway, Crossroads and their seminal Dont Worry Baby. Holy fuck though, they had some serious sound issues in there. You had to work fucking hard for the decent pockets and I dont blame anyone for leaving early. Hell, this picture was taken from a bad sound pocket. Go figure. I am dead center for Christ's sake! darth_taiter
Great pics and all I can say is the show sent me away happy, with that much bass, I am sure you were all feeling the same way. That moog synthesizer sound (big bass keyboard) is my favourite sound in music. WOW good stuff

Rob Not Bob
That guy's got a crazy outtie belly button.I think Gary Shider was 7 months pregnant ...No Michael Hampton but apart from that no complaints, awesome show for me to lose my P-Funk cherry. They played mostly stuff I knew pretty well ... where's my heady setlist?

balogna pogna
I'm glad George decided to bring it Tuesday night and prove he still has it.Hopefully he's off the crack and can deliver like this more consistently.
Im going home Donny
huh...I didn't like it one bit. Went scurrying over to Los Lobos pretty quickly. (Which was great!)Mabey diaper man threw me off  I did find it WAY too loud which made it hard for me to really listen worrying about my ears being destroyed and all. AD
what i saw from pfunk (which admittedly was very little) left me stunned at how much i disliked the performance of music which previously i had loved.he should power down the mothership for good. how you can compare that to Prince is hard for me to understand. phorbesie
i didn't see the whole thing by any means (i saw the beginning and end), but it was the lamest pfunk show i've ever seen.
bouche
I was at clinton only near the end and I was comparing it to Prince because of the music that I've heard prince play. There are major similarities to his really big funk jams that I've heard.BTW, I've seen Clinton with prince and it's killer.
Rob Not Bob
Yet again, I see a band for the first time and think it is great, then people who have seen them before tell me it is a terrible show
