afro poppa
3-run blast from Snyder. That kid's future looks bright.definately...ditto for lind.the real question is what happens to Inglett when Hill comes back next season...move him to SS? Jaimoe
It depends if Cito likes Inglett at short better than Eckstein, since Cito certainly is a Johnny Mac fan.
afro poppa
well Eckstien won't be a problem because he got traded to the Diamondbacks...
Jaimoe
well Eckstien won't be a problem because he got traded to the Diamondbacks...Yes I know he was traded, but his bat couldn't keep Johnny Mac out of the line-up; why would Inglett be any different unless J.P. makes a deal. Whitey
Yeah, nice job Roy. Also, I am happy with the Cito signing. Too bad he was not around all year long.

Hal Johnson
Im looking forward to a full season under Cito too. Just hoping JP doesn't get any brilliant ideas in the off-season.
Jaimoe
This was Roy's best season, even with his win-loss record. 9 complete games (4 in a row), a sparkling ERA, led the league in innings pitched etc...If he got the run-support in the first half of the year, he'd have over 24 wins easy. Hal Johnson
Ya, but I think Lee in Cleveland will get the CY young anyway - he's had a pretty remarkable year.

His win-loss record and ERA are fantastic, but I bet the voting will be closer than expected.
badams
It's pretty tight. Here are their stats. Halladay has 9 complete games to Lee's 4.Cliff Lee CLE GP 31 GS 31 IP 223.1 H 214 R 68 ER 63 BB 34 SO 170 W 22 L 3ERA 2.54 Roy Halladay TORGP 34 GS 33 IP 246.0 H 220 R 88 ER 76 BB 39 SO 206 W 20 L 11ERA 2.78 I agree that Lee will likely win. Hal Johnson
Your probably right. I guess you could make a case for DOC being MVP then? I mean, the jays probably wouldnt even be close without him. But we know how much the writers like to choose pitchers, let alone pitchers from teams nobody cares about. Jaimoe
Nah, MVP will go to someone from the Angels or Rays. Fuck the Red Sox.
Hal Johnson
There's no clear-cut favorite this year, which is kind of interesting. Hopefully Morneau can steal one again. And ya, Fuck the Red-Sox.
badams
Morneau will be considered, especially if Minnesota squeaks into the playoffs.
Jaimoe
I can't believe Morneau doesn't get the recognition he deserves in this country.Anyone thinking about going to the World Baseball Championship this year? Canada vs USA at the Dome will be awesome. I hope our good players decided to play this time out.

Hopefully he has no serious injuries.I saw a comparison between Morneau and Walker for their first 5 years in the Bigs and Morneau has better numbers by quite a bit. I think he'll stay healthy since he doesn't have to dive, throw and run too much when he's in the field.

I hope our good players decided to play this time out.Ive got my name on an email list to get first dibs on tix when they get announced. Im seriously considering taking that week off and seeing as many games as possible. I know that there was interest on this board too. Hopefully we can get a group of us involved. All the games are during the day and during the week though...But I think we will see the better pitchers for Canada this year, especially since its at the Dome. ::crosses fingers::
