Ramirez traded to Dodgers in three-way deal

Manny Ramirez's stormy relationship with the Boston Red Sox appears to be over.

A baseball source has confirmed Ramirez has been traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers, ESPN.com has learned.

Jason Bay is going to Boston as part of the deal, Jayson Stark reported. And the Pittsburgh Pirates get four minor leaguers as part of the three-way deal.

Andy LaRoche and pitcher Bryan Morris, in addition Red Sox prospects, will go to Pittsburgh, Buster Olney reported.

I know it's too easy to second guess trades but this one really stood out to me today...

S Rolen

Games 88

At Bats 314

Runs 40

HR 7

RBI 38

SB 5

AVG .252

OPS .750

T Glaus

Games 117

At Bats 424

Runs 55

HR 21

RBI 79

SB 0

AVG .269

OPS .857

Looks like we kept the wrong, often injured 3B.

I guess we'll see what happens next year.

Rolen has been terrible at the plate, but he's the best defensive third baseman the Jays have ever had.

Great... but 3B is a position most teams get some good offense from. I don't think his defensive abilities make up for his significant lack of punch at the plate.

Looks like I was dead wrong about Shannon Stewart, the Jays just let him go:

Turns out the move to bring him in and drop Johnson was probably one of THE worst moves J.P. has done in recent memory. Way to go Ricciardi!

My apologies to the dj, he called this from day one.

That's right, bitch.

I agree.
