AD
Just when I thought all music had hit rock bottom with Coldplay - please welcome fucking horrible Kid Rock.
ersh
Ugg. I always seem to forget every year that the Grammys is 'pair up unlikely artists together' fest.... which is kinda gross. There's absolutley no reason to see Al Green on stage with Keith Urban.
bouche
I opted to watch a couple of episodes of The Wire S05.

AD
why people go apeshit over coldplay is far beyond me. they are shite.what's with the stevie wonder, neil diamond, macca, four tops, etc... all these songs are at least 35 years old. fuck. at least paul mccartney played his own song well, even with that ridiculous guitar solo. why am i watching this. ersh
Rock album of the year? Coldplay? Come on.... at least give the award to a Rock band. My vote woulda been with Kings of Leon.

AD
that bo diddley thing was totally unnecessary. although it's always nice to see Buddy Guy and BB King. coulda done without annoying john mayer and his awful strat tone. i would have given rock album of the year to the raconteurs fwiw. although death magnetic was strong. Thorgnor
I probably would've watched streaming basketball and then caught the highlights later on youtube.
localcrew
Raising Sand.Nice. Love it.Im surprised-I didnt expect the industry to go so far out on a limb as to award this best album of the year.At least Radiohead didnt have to compromise their artistic integrity in winning it. Thorgnor
Some smart DJ is gonna start playing Winehouse, Duffy, Adele, D'Angelo, Musiq, Raphael Saadiq, The Roots, Tribe, and a few others and make a killing in the states.

Freak By Night
Normally I'm very cynical about awards shows and the like, but I thought the Grammys made for very entertaining television. Radiohead with that drum ensemble was awesome.
AD
At least Radiohead didnt have to compromise their artistic integrity in winning it.just curious how being given an award compromises integrity? the art came before the award, not vice versa. Kanada Kev
I always PVR music awards shows. Then it's a quick skip through to just watch the performances. Eliminates all the drivel in between I was entertained for many of the performances. The "Swagger Like Me Rap Pack" made me laugh though ... seriously, i just don't get that shit. I'm only a couple episodes in, but very meh. I'm not feeling the journalism angle.
