gentlemonkey
punk- have you heard/seen the bass player JB is touring with? Tal Wilkenfeld? Wowserz!! Tasty fretless licks for a 21 year old. She has a trio with Wayne Krantz apparently. Vinnie C was also amazing. Todd- great log! The other guy wrote about someone wanting Jeff Beck to sing at their wedding- wtf? bagochips
Velvet's log was easily the best read up there. The only real review of the lot. It's great to see you reach a wider audience, Velvet.
AD
The Black Keys aren't blues? Great read, looking forward to these.
Esau.
Thanks Todd, great read. Looking forward to more. Wish I could have caught Tony D & Beck, that sounds like it was great. The Black Keys aren't blues? They seemed to be labeled as "blues-rock" but in my opinion, they are garage-rock/rock & roll, maybe its just the blues purist side of me though. Velvet
Thanks everyone! Damn, I was running all the song spellings by Bradm and somehow we ended up with an extra 'a'. I try really hard not to screw things like that up and I very much appreciate it being pointed out, thanks for that.I heard very little Black Keys and that was my first time hearing them, but no, I wouldn't call them blues (aside from the fact that many, many non-blues things can be argued to be blues). phorbesie
lawn chairs took up a lot of space at jeff beck, but it wasn't that crowded so i didn't find it too much of an issue...tonight i hardly saw any lawn chairs, woohoo! the crowd was young though.
