dave-O
Credit where it's due - after a really poor first few minutes, the Leafs looked incredible on Saturday. It helped that Neurvirth (sp?) didn't exactly look NHL ready.
dogatthestation
Hard to believe that Toronto is ninth in the league in goals-per-game.Their puck pursuit in the offensive zone is a thing of beauty to watch.Tonights game should be a fun one! Booche
I know the time-space continuum is facked in my world right now, but did that not seem like a really quick first period?

dave-O
This entire game has seemed incredibly quick. Some of the gold seaters still haven't made it back from first intermission and it's last minute in the 2nd!

dogatthestation
Bad goal tenting for Ottawa last night or the outcome may have been different.Toronto is really perfecting those long outlet passes though. Thing of beauty.Thought Ottawa played a pretty good road game. Limited Toronto's chances.Solid win!

hamilton
The Leafs finally figured out Boston. Too bad it took three times to get it right. Still... yay!
Kanada Kev
Good for Gustavsson. Huge boost for his confidence. Finally, Blake gets a decent goal. That was a scary collision that Stajan took. While it was borderline IMHO he should have had his head up to see it coming. Big respect for him getting back on the ice and into the game after that. hamilton
Jason Blake really needs to stop taking needless penalties in the final eight minutes of the game when the Leafs are one goal behind. That has to be the third or fourth time this month when he has done that. Of course, it would also help if the Leafs didn't so frequently have to play catch-up, but still... Kanada Kev
Fun game last night. They made it exciting after they woke up 20mins into the game. Knew they'd blow it in OT once they got there
hamilton
I thought for sure they blew it tonight when Rupp scored with 2 minutes left, but the Leafs showed some non-quititiveness (how's that for a sportscaster word?) and bounced right back. Toskala was only kind of so-so, though.

Booche
Can't understand why Brian Burke left Andy Greene off his U.S. Olympic team roster. Greene plays 24 minutes a night with New Jersey, only the best defensive team in the NHL, and leads all American defencemen in scoring (answer: he picked Komo instead)
Kanada Kev
They should go back to '62 style training camps. Maybe their record would improve: http://thepuckdoctors.com/2010/01/leaf-training-camp-requirements-in-1962/ Edited January 6, 2010 by Guest
