You can still do almost all of summer's outdoor activities (camping, biking, hiking, etc.), but you get nice cool evenings and no uncomfortably hot/humid weather. Add in the beuatiful colours (especially when living in the mountains) and the knowledge that ski season is right around the corner, and fall is definitely my favourite season.Thoughts? The first warm breeze, patio's opening, birds chirping, people out and about, driving with the sunroof open, days getting longer...I'm a winter-hater.Runner up is fall.
