fluffhead77
So far a pretty big whogivesafuck lineup. couple good ones in there but after 30, I expected more...
Northern Wish
Couldn't agree more.... I'll keep this up till home time. The full list is supposed to be released by midnight tomorrow.
AD
Worst. Lineup release. Ever.
Northern Wish
Lineup is getting a bit easier to swallow.....This whole process is just S.T.U.P.I.D.
NewRider
WOW! 311?!?! I'd rather drink gasoline!
YearsAlongTheSea
WOW! 311?!?! I'd rather drink gasoline! Saw them back in the day and the experience was not unlike consuming diesel. Not like the festival really appeals to me anymore, but that line-up blows chunks...
bradm
Just to ensure equal I give equal opportunities to bands across the wide spectrum of musical styles and tastes when I refer to their Live Music Archive entries, I humbly and nervously copy and pastehttp://www.archive.org/details/311Aloha,Brad
mister slippery
15 to 20 bands there I'd make an effort to see, but not to travel to Tennessee.Still, probably a good time, were I to go.
AD
That's probably about half the lineup. They are releasing it stupidly for the latecomers here.
mister slippery
Yup, and of the 54 that were there when I posted, I'd want to see 15 to 20 of them. Now, at 59, maybe I'd see Clutch.
Northern Wish
The worst thing about this whole clusterfuck is that they are not doing every 5 minutes as promised at all.... And artist sites are popping up with info before Roo announces (DMB was firm as of 11am, Roo announced it at 3:12pm). Boo urns!!!
dave-O
So is it safe to assume Jay-Z, Stevie Wonder and DMB are the headliners?
edger
I'd be surprised if Stevie was headlining...not that he isn't 'worthy'
Northern Wish
Seems that way- although the Paul Simon and Neil Young rumors are not going away.... So much so that I've included PS on my list above: confirmed via livedaily and the Knoxville Sentinel. This is the reamining list of expected acts:Alberta Cross, Caravan Palace, Dan Deacon, The Gaslight Anthem, Here We Go Magic, Lord T & Eloise, Miike Snow, Neil Young, Ryan Montbleau Band, Broken Social Scene, Calexico, Deadmau5, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, Furthur, Galactic, The Jayhawks, My Morning Jacket, Noah and The Whale, Paul Simon, Spoon, Pavement Robert Earl Keen, Roger Waters, Simon and Garfunkel, Yonder Mountain String Band
Northern Wish
So is it safe to assume Jay-Z' date=' Stevie Wonder and DMB are the headliners?[/quote']I'd say it's not safe to assume that just yet, as they haven't been announced. Stevie is the only one not yet listed on the Roo myspace site:http://www.myspace.com/bonnarooBut for real updates check in on those crazy indie bloggers. They've been hours ahead of the myspace all day long.....http://consequenceofsound.net/2010/02/08/open-thread-bonnaroo-2010-lineup-announcement/This has been one unproductive fucking day- and I found it kind of fun! TimmyB
I wanted to see the Flaming Lips perform 'Dark Side of the Moon' in Oklahoma City this past New Years Eve and now I get to see Wayne and company continue their late night tradition at bonnaroo, I'm there.Add in the greatest R&B artist of all-time in Stevie Wonder, the biggest Hip Hop act of the past decade in Jay Z, the biggest North American touring act of the past decade in the Dave Matthews Band, rock and roll hall of famers (along with Wonder), John Fogerty, Jeff Beck and acts like the Dead Weather, Weezer, John Prine, Kris Kristofferson, She & Him, Medeski, Martin & Wood, Calexico, Dave Rawlings Machine, Norah Jones, Jimmy Cliff, the Avett Brothers, Tori Amos, the Black Keys and Steve Martin I'm sure I'll find a way to pass my time again in Manchester, TN.I got my tickets today and whatever else they add will be icing on the cake.TimPS Please please please Roger Waters performing the Wall and coming out with the Flaming Lips for Dark Side of the Moon, Neil Young, Paul Simon and the Jayhawks. The Chameleon
Chromeo w/Darryl Hall! No fucking way. Darryl Hall as in Hall and Oates! That could be hillarious and you can't gripe about Stevie Wonder or Jeff Beck but I agree it does not compare to last year's monster line up. NewRider
The initial line up always makes me wanna go but once I see the schedule I'm glad I didn't make the trek. It seems someone in the scheduling dept. is a fuckhead and likes to put all the bands I want to see on at the same time. What a miserable turd!
