Davey Boy 2.0
I'm actually just a tad surprised to see MMW coming back for jizzfest, last time they played to a 2/3 empty NACI felt shame and elation at the same time. I'll refrain from making a simile out of that one.

AD
Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson have cancelled their appearance, according to The Sun. The Citizen has no mention of Lou Reed in their Jazzfest story and instead says Zorn and Anderson are closing it out. So we'll see what the real story is soon I'm sure. Big Wooly Mammoth
on CBC they mentioned that the organizers were informed on April 7, but it was too late to pull the info from the press release. they mentioned that Reed, Anderson and Zorn were not appearing. I'm surprised that Anderson would be there but not Lou Reed.

Velvet
That's too bad about Lou Reed, and the Citizen article seems to suggest that John Zorn and Laurie Anderson are also out.I hope they find a replacement act that's equally as exciting. boiler
I really have to make it up for the MMW show. I've been a casual listener for a while but have been listening to them a lot over the last 6 months or so. I think just about the only videos I post on f-book anymore is MMW videos. There's so many amazing MMW vidoes on youtube.Crossing my fingers that the outage Gods are good to me and I can wrap up my job around that time and take the summer off. What a great way to kick it off.

Freak By Night
All of the main and headlining shows are outside in a nice park downtown. It's a very kid-friendly environment. Enjoy!
