QotD 2007-11-06: Sing, Sing!

Today's question is a musical one: which small or local bands (as opposed to national touring big-name acts) do you like for the quality of the vocals they have? (While singer-songwriters are OK here, I'm more interested in bands with a full range of qualities, like drumming, guitar playing, bass playing, etc.)

My list would include Grand Theft Bus (esp. Graeme Walker's singing, as in "OMA"), LURE (great harmonies), and Bullmoose (for a more hard-rock belting-it-out sound). What are yours?

Aloha,

Brad

Mick Jackson(drums/vocals) from The Frontier Index...drumming and singing simultaneously impresses me.

the Index ceases to exist, but watch for Mick's new project with the other Indices John and Matt as well as Scott from controller.controller - the band is tentatively called Medallions.

I picked the other lead from Frontier Index in my list above (Corey)

I'll tell Mick you like his vox :)

That is great news...thanks!!

I agreed with your list in entirety actually...but the drumming AND singing (and very well) astonishes me.

I like the vocal combo for Orillia Opry too.
