  2. I'm out of town tonight, but as much as I'd love to catch The Roots, it would also be great to see ?uestlove's three hour DJ set at Ritual later on.

  5. Yes and no. There was a fair bit of overlap between Recently, Remember Two Things, and Under the Table and Dreaming, but since the last of those was released in 1994 the studio output has been consistent and not overlapping (although having not listened to any of the studio output since Some Devil - which if we're being sticklers is a solo record and not a DMB record - I can't speak to the calibre of any of the more recent releases). There have been plenty of live releases too, but it looks like they are career-spanning and not for the purposes of milking the early releases: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Matthews_Band_discography
  6. I revisit the back catalogue from time to time and enjoy the nostalgia trip and reminding myself of why I was pretty into them for a while. I stumbled upon a lot of other great artists through them back when I was first expanding my musical horizons, so I'll always be greatful for that. A few fun roads trips to their shows as well during the university years. Last I saw them was Rothbury '08, one of Jeff Coffin's first shows, and I had a great time. I see that Béla Fleck is sitting in with them at SPAC in July. If the venue wasn't so brutally oversold every time they play I might have tried to make that happen.
  7. Pretty great. I would pay the ninety nine bucks for Van Morrison alone if he promised some Last Waltz kicks.
  8. I enjoyed it. It came off as a promotional piece at times, but it was a pretty entertaining retrospective and I agree about Bob being pretty candid.
  9. FARE THE WELL IS GOING TO SUCK! FARE THE WELL IS GOING TO BE EPIC! LESS TREY! MORE TREY! AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
  10. I went in '03 and '04. Great times in '03, less so in '04, although that was mostly due to weather and discovering a deathly food allergy on the Saturday morning. I regret not going in '09, although I was on the west coast at the time and couldn't swing it. Regardless, any sense of counter-culturalism has long since passed. Too bad, but it seems like something people still enjoy so more power to them.
  11. I'll be interested to hear (and hopefully eventually see) these guys with their new drummer. I was always a big fan of Darren Shearer's playing.
  12. They all look like computer age enhancements of missing people.
  13. You mean it's now possible for me to punch all of U2 in the face at once?
  14. Nice one. The lineup of The Expats made me chuckle.
  15. Multiple "sources" - including Bill Walton - saying that two more shows are going to be added the weekend before. June 27th and 28th in Santa Clara, CA.
  16. BUT HOW CAN IT BE REAL IF THERE'S NO TONY D?!?!?!
