  1. This certainly seems like a logical end point for the Allman Brothers, although part of me would be interested to see how the band might move forward. After all, while definitive of the band's modern era, these are not original members we're talking about. To that end, I've long likened going to see the Allmans to going to see the Montreal Canadiens (or iconic sports franchise of your choosing): so long as they're not god awful, it's as much about the institution as it is the guys currently in the lineup. If Gregg wants to keep flying the flag with some new blood for a few more years, I say more power to him.
  2. I thought this deserved its own thread: Link to Jambase article
  3. So good. Nice to see that an organic movement of sorts can permeate an organization as massive and bureaucratic as an NFL franchise.
  4. Thanks, got it working on the laptop. For whatever reason it won't work on the tablet, although to complain about that would be some pretty entitled nitpicking. (Which some would argue would make me the picture of the 3.0 Phan, but I digress.)
  5. This. Although I'm only getting "This video is being processed."
  6. Huh. Too bad (for me) that tickets are gone; I live across the street. Have fun!
  7. Largely acoustic jam pop. HUGE with US college kids in the late 90s and early 00s. Their song "The General" was relatively well known, and they were big enough to sell out MSG, I believe. The lead singer went in to form State Radio.
  8. Personally I applaud any effort by a band to make a show at an arena more interactive and engaging. While I would never pay $350 for the chance to skip the line to buy a $40 t-shirt, I'm a fan of the costumes-or-formal ideal.
  9. When I saw the video yesterday my first thought was that I was watching a young woman doing a half-cooked Andy Kaufman impression. Looks like that's exactly what it was.
  10. Sweet Fancy Moses. Very little of what is alleged there would hold up in a criminal court, although I realize that is largely beside the point.
  11. My favourite part was when he left the room and hid after saying "I have nothing left to hide." Also, I asked on social media but nobody could tell me the answer: did anyone see if he was wearing the Zubaz pants that go with that tie?
  12. Bummer. 71 is generally young, although maybe not so much in rock star years.
  13. really' date=' his voice sounded fine to me ... honestly, we couldn't figure out why they kept torturing us with his awful vocals ... [/quote']
