  1. Yes. It says a lot I think (but I may fall under the well-meaning fool category)
  2. Your vestal selves may find them a little 'hard to handle', but I suspect you'll find yourself feeling more than satisfied amidst the attempt
  3. That's a nice hotel actually! (by my refined standards of course ) And first time seeing the Crowes? You're in for a treat.
  4. Man it's been a long time comin for this show. I can't wait!!!!!! two more sleep attempts....
  5. ...(just a friendly reminder)....
  6. I've always admired you MarcO for standing up for what you believe in.
  7. Cool. It was nice to see some youngbloods in the room too.
  8. Sorry joan. Haven't taken the facebook plunge (you wouldn't want me as a friend anyways....ha) Nice to see you back nonetheless
  9. Welcome back popo weenie!!
  10. This thread is gold! I won't ever be trying the Double Down. Fast-food burgers, fried chicken is definitely not my thing to begin with. Not that I'm getting up on my high horse or anything, cause I can shamelessly, ok perhaps shamefully, mow down a pizza like no other if the cards line up right...

    LF: Crowes tix

I remember TimmyB securing a single for me for David Gilmour's Massey show few years back because of my slow internet connection, (DIRE need to see this show), and lack of available doubles. Was hesitant whether to even take the ticket and risk having to disclose to the hubby that I was only able to get one. But took the plunge (thanks for the advice Timmy!!) and in the end was able to secure two singles in totally different seating areas. Spent first set by my lonesome totally enthralled and not caring, and lo and behold the 'only' visible empty seat in the whole dam place was right beside Todd so for second second set was able to join him. The short of it? Ya never know...
  12. Hey sissypants the pedal you made reminds me of the cover art on Marco's latest album. Cool. Glad to hear he put it to use!
  13. Yeah that Vera>Bring the Boys Back Home rocked me to the core too. That image of the young girl in the classroom smiling with her friends suddenly erupting with intense emotion as she was reunited with (presumably) her father was just too much. So goddam painfully beautiful. Chokes me up just thinking about it.
  14. Almost forgot about the Sloop John B Tooly. That was awesome. A definite nostalgic tune from my childhood that reminds me of jamming around the fire with my uncles and aunts. The Fearless into Benny & the Jets was unbelievably good too!
  15. Happy birthday indeed. Thanks for all you continue to bring to this board. Hope your day is filled with good things.
  16. Wow. That was a great show. More than one moment was just utterly ridiculous. Just loved watching his instrument (insert inevitable 'that's what she said')... Seriously though. Beautiful soundscapes. Can't believe what he can squeeze into just a few bars. They were obviously having a blast. So much so that they showed up at the after party, completely took over the tunes and orchestrated a breakout dance party into the next day. I never stay up that late anymore but couldn't seem to walk away. Fuck was that ever fun. I hope Toronto showed them some love (if they had any energy left). They had nothing but good things to say about their time in Ottawa either.
  17. Tonight! This will be a nice capper to a day filled with lapping up the remnants of the fine fresh fall hues, some tasty eats and a little early evening African dancing. Not a bad day at all I figure...
  18. His last show in Hamilton was SOOOO unbelievably good. Do yourself a favour and go... But dam...does this mean the whole melancholy thing festers away and gets the best of us afterall? Dispense xanax?
