  1. Well...decided to forgo for now. May likely regret that decision, but an expensive month coming up and unless I could get great seats...which seem to be gone. Mind you I've never been to this particular venue I don't think so not sure how the seats are in general. Haven't picked up this album yet either. Does T-Bone Burnett have his hands on this one too?
  2. Plant and Kraus was an absolutely beautiful show too. This is the first I've heard of this show. I guess general onsales have already started. Excuse me for a moment...
  3. Sounds like it has the potential to be a great movie.
  4. I always dance, unless it is a genuine sit-down show. But it sure is nice to have some company...
  5. Todd does a lot of grief counselling. It takes a special kind of person, and I would say it most definitely takes its toll. Although I don't think he has ever told anyone to shut their cryhole...yet.
  6. Although I enjoyed Levon last June I didn't think I'd 'necessarily' be in a huge rush to catch him again... but with Lucinda on the bill?
  7. Thanks for the blast from the past!
  8. Just as a heads-up Stumbleweed & Fat Cats will be playing together in Hamilton at This Aint Hollywood Sat. Nov. 27th.
  9. Yeah they're great live. Truthfully was underwhelmed by their album...can't even recall which one I purchased but LOVED their show at the Lanc.
  10. BNB unavailable. I second Unseen Strangers and/or Must Stash Hat!!!
  11. Are children allowed at this event or are there liquor license issues around that?
  12. Thanks to Schwa, c-towns & Scarlet, Tigger, Becky & Bella for coming on out to support this. It sure was nice for me to see some familiar faces in the crowd. I know Rowen sure enjoyed being surrounded by the lovely ladies too And if you guys ever lurk around here just wanted to throw out a HUGE thanks to Mark Wilson & Steve Murphy for essentially volunteering their time to do the sound. You guys put quite a bit of time in to that and it was greatly appreciated. There were some goosebump moments throughout the night for me. I think all in all the night went well.
  13. Wow! Great news. Congratulations you two!
  14. Thought a few on here might be interested in supporting this. Todd has been involved in putting together a benefit night for the Brain Injury Association. I will be joining him for an acoustic set as part of the event. In addition, Errol Blackwood and the Injah Band (roots reggae, formerly of Messenjah) are headlining Also playing : Randy Stewart Rollo (of Lulu’s Roadhouse Fame), The Proximity Pickers (blue grass), Juneyt (Flamenco guitar), Stand Firm (Gospel music band), and the Brain Injury Association’s own band comprised of survivors 'The Opportunities' The cost is $20, children are admitted free, but I believe the youngins must depart by ten, a late night spread is included in the admission. Things should get rolling by 6:30 or 7:00 Where: The Moose Lodge: 655 Wabanaki Dr., Kitchener Perhaps we'll see a few of you... Cheers!
  15. You'd think I'd know, but I don't... Looking forward to dancing the night away.
  16. Too bad its the same night as the Crowes or that it wasn't a late show (the latter of which you will probably never hear out of my mouth again)
  17. Yeah this is going to be quite the week. Can't wait to get freaky!!
  18. Well its certainly a good hand to be dealt me thinks. This will be my first time seeing them in a venue as intimate as Massey Hall. I've seen them at Bonnarroo and Rothbury which are obviously a whole different scale entirely, and then also had the privilege of making my way to second row of their show at John Labatt centre. That's where I REALLY fell in love. But I suspect the Massey pairing might just be the trump card.
  19. Must say I was a little surprised by Hamilton's results. I heard a Farley inspired impression of Ford on the radio this morning and it was pure comedic gold of the finest quality. Wish I knew the original source but I tuned in halfway through.
