  1. Happy belated Margaret. Hope you and the wee man are well.
  2. Well I leave for a few days, and Hamilton goes ahead and has a birthday anyways. And Mommaginny joins the board!! Go figure. Happy, happy!

    RIP BNB

Perhaps intended, but I totally thought you were referring to Burt Neilson...
  4. Hmmm...the "right" choice eh?
  5. I'd never seen this before. Got a kick out of it...
  6. Well if vibrations move through our ear canals the same way, then perhaps I should give this one a try. Mind you I would not use these words to describe Suburbs whatsoever.
  7. Lineup looks pretty killer to me...esp with the few extra acts included in TimmyB's list that were not mentioned in the one above...
  8. Honestly I can't get enough of either of these bands right now. Just love them. I can't wait for Mumfords to release some new material (hopefully in the not so distant future).
  9. I finally picked this album up, and I have to admit I don't get what the big fuss is all about. It might just be me and my 'pedestrianism' but...meh, it was just ok for me. Some cool presumably Bowie inspired moments, but just not melodic enough for my tastes.
  10. Due to that name-droppin, your days are numbered I'm afraid.
  11. The particular one that likely inspired that comment was at The Commercial Tavern in Maryhill which is just outside of Guelph basically. Not far from KW. There have been matinee shows at the Norfolk Tavern in Port Dover as well. I'm sure other places would entertain the idea too if they knew how many of us would likely be more than willing to jump on that train (particularly if kid friendly spaces)
  12. No doubt. I was not expecting that kind of crowd for a Sunday afternoon. And the bluehairs didn't seem to have a problem with the likes of us and our rugrats. Nice to hear them bust out one of your tunes too Blair. Great string of songs they played. A hell of a lot of them too. I wouldn't have the foggiest idea where they would pick up such nonsense...
  13. Although it would be a very big stretch for me to make this happen I am quite intrigued as to who will be playing. It's been five years since my last trek down there... Never say never...
  14. Damn. This will take some time. Wishing him comfort.
  15. Cheezborger, cheezborger, cheezborger... http://www.billygoattavern.com/home.html Buddy Guy's bar Legends is pretty cool.
  16. Good idea. That was so much fun yesterday. The kids had a blast, and they know how to get a room moving
  17. Yes, I have a dire passion for that band. They hit me in the right spot. Yes I know, that's what she said...

I think this is my favourite entry so far. Can't quite put my finger on why. Perhaps in part due to my love for the Allmans... But your words sure paint a cozy picture.
  19. I don't know...they're definitely talented, but them's vocals are a little shrill for my taste. I'd check them out if they were playing in an open forum setting, like Festival of Friends or something.
  20. that's what she said Practice has been rescheduled and a trip to Maryhill is now in the forecast  & See y'all there!
