Hmmm... I think we decided that "The Orphans" are actually "The Strays"...but who knows? Edit to add, either way (if I'm not mistaken...and one would think I should no...damn hippies) that 'band' is an acoustic ensemble of Todd and Dave from Fat Cats, Dan Walsh, and Ricky Neu from Diesel Dog and myself.

Saw Dan (when he was an even younger lad) more than a few years back now. He was great then. Would love to get out to check him out again. We'll see though...October is getting busy quickly, and I got me a Crowes show right in the midst of him being within my vicinity. I suspect (hope) he is going to be around for a long time.

I thought it was common knowledge that any rules against drinking in public places does not apply to baseball teams. It only makes good sense.

Todd, Dave & Gatch will be joined by Ricky Neu to do an acoustic gig this coming Saturday afternoon at The Collins in Dundas as part of the annual Cactus Festival. This is always a nice, chill, patio gig. Kid friendly. I believe they play all afternoon (1-5), based on past experience will probably do three sets. I'll be there with Rowen, if you're able come say hello!

Not sure if it counts but I remember Silence of the Lambs freaking the hell out of me the first time I saw it. Candyman was a scary one too. I don't mind thrillers these days but I absolutely can't stand graphic gore, torture and anything overly sadistic. Even if I look away...I think my imagination is worse and far too vivid, which doesn't work so well for me (in this particular context).

Seeing the Sadies at the Casbah is always a definite treat! Wish I could go to this one for sure! But (i think) the air quality has been giving my little guy some trouble... Too concerned and sleep deprived to think about going anywhere at the moment. Have fun though! Will be a great show.
