  1. Would LOVE to hit this show up, but the north is calling me instead.
  2. I would have to think that the only thing better than a vibrating broom shaft to put between your legs would be a used one!
  3. That is amazing!!! I admire your discipline. My measly 15k run (and I thought I was doing good) can't even begin to comprehend what it would be like to throw another 30 on top of that. Never mind the swimming and biking... I've always found swimming to kick my ass in particular...challenging stuff. All the best.
  4. I know you're cool Myles...no worries. After all that c-towns character is a little shady...
  5. Peaceful resting for Otis. Condolences to you and your family Kev.
  6. Ha! I remember liking the easy-bake oven (or some derivative of that) around that age.
  7. Yeah, that looks great!! I'd buy the shirt for sure, and I'm not generally one for purchasing merch ('cept discs).

    Waba Fest

I don't know. Will surely be entertaining, but Sting is just too much for me these days.
  9. I thought I kindly requested that you refrain from bringing this up ever again Have fun though. Damn.
  10. Fun night anyways, but oh, what could have been was the theme running through my head throughout the night and wee hours of the morning. My first time at the venue. Beautiful indeed. INCREDIBLE potential. But yes, muddy sound, esp in the back. Their final set was good. Thanks to Mickey for the ride, Cully for the hospitality and all the other kind folk who made my night so fun.
  11. I REALLY wish I could have been there to help cheer you on. I bet it was a blast. Almost decided to bring Rowen out at the last minute, but wasn't sure if kids were allowed at these things. Huge congrats on your first 'official' bout. I'm hoping there will be plenty more shows in the near future for me to take in.
  12. Jaydawg, can you give us some rough set times for this? Particularly what time will Cornmeal start do you think? (i think I recall you saying they play first) Thanks!
  13. Happy birthday Mark! Thanks for being such a splendid buddy ol' pal.
  14. Oh, and we're going to be up on the Bruce for the week of the 26th and into the long weekend. I know you're moving somewhere around there, but hopefully we can get together for some jam and some cheer.
  15. Now that is some shit luck there Blair. Sorry to hear that. The good news is you should definitely be able to salvage a new song out of that Congratulations on the contacts and interviews. I can't WAIT to see your film come to fruition. As for All Good I hope to post a review of sorts in the near future. Maybe get a chance to whip it up tomorrow. But yeah, in short, UN-BLOODY-BELIEVABLE!!!
  16. So how was it this year anyways?
  17. Great time at this show. It was definitely the perfect way to start off my recent 'tour' this past weekend. So glad that we secured tickets in advance cause it definitely seemed like a tough one to secure. Lots of people looking, but I don't think I came across a single person selling. The Crazy Fingers is where it kicked into overdrive for me. That was definitely on my 'short' list (which perhaps isn't so short)... had that running through my head all night after that. Bird Song was a perfect cap to first set. Dark Star>Other One was a treat too. I came out of there feeling pretty thankful that I was going to be seeing them again the following night. First time at Artpark for me. Very cool place... Holy crazy incline on the grass though...definitely have to watch your step while you're boogying. Good thing we moved up. Right by the soundboard...good and centre. Edit to add: While I thought I had an amazing time at this show, the setlist that followed the next night at All Good just tore my head right off. In the midst of compiling my thoughts on allgood, so I'll get to that. But in the meantime check out this MONSTER of a setlist from fri night: Set 1 After Midnight > Estimated Prophet > Just A Little Light Tennessee Jed Must Have Been The Roses Looks Like Rain Brown Eyed Women Big Railroad Blues Set 2 Uncle John’s Band Celebration > Sugar Magnolia > So Many Roads Colors Of The Rain > Terrapin Station Scarlet Begonias > Fire On The Mountain Attics Of My Life Sunshine Daydream Donor Rap Encore: Cumberland Blues Ripple
  18. I would have expected nothing less. Great to hear you guys had such an awesome show. They were on FIRE at allgood. Serious, serious chops. I never realized how young they are...they sound so seasoned!
  19. A New Speedway Boogie>Warf Rat? That's awesome!! Now this is the inspiration I was looking for Glad to hear you all had a great time, and Booche I am especially glad to hear that your expectations were surpassed...I had an inkling that they might be. You're bang on about Russo...and I always find Chimenti to be a treat. I am soo excited for tonight and tomorrow night!!
