  1. No doubt. A lot of good times crammed into that little bar thats for sure, miss those days sometimes.
  2. ....and Dylan, John Prine, Arlo, Buddy Guy, Van Morrison, B.B King, CSN/CSNY, etc.. Women may have or may not have been the majority if you did a complete head count, but they were certianly easier to spot then in the picture above. Especially at Dylan and B.B King. Just saying, I get where your coming from though.

I agree with wavinginthewind, both on the AK and the website/store suggestion (Dutch passion is a reliable supplier fwiw). Word of caution if you pick durban, depending on the location make sure you tend to it semi-regular, as it can get pretty big.

  7. Its great if you like (or want) recordings of every single band or artist that played. Since, I don't want recordings of every artist, I just go to the site and download the exact same files of the artists I'm interested in, saves me a ton of bandwidth for more desireable (DVD/FLAC) downloads.
  8. Makes sense. I was just wondering was all. Just seemed a bit odd for folk fest. Your right about Calgary (after looking up recent past artists), its been quite awhile since I really followed what was goin on in the festival scene though, so I'm sure I'm outta touch. Booche, thanks. I did read that originally, but my mind was focusing on the folk festival part and I just took part two to mean smaller folk festival.
  9. I'm a little confused here, does the Ottawa folk fest book artists in the same fashion as Blues Fest? By that I mean, folk (or similar genre of music) is not the primary focus when considering bands. Say in the fashion of other Canadian folk fests, Mariposa, Edmonton Folk Fest, Calgary Folk Fest etc. I only ask since you mention that Holy Fuck is something you'll look into, have they changed their style of music? Just curious is all.

  13. Thanks for the info. I have read up (online) on some of it but am waiting to talk to both my doctors about it - seeing as I also take some other meds I want to be clear its not goin give me serious issues or react badly with my other meds.
  14. Way to go man, I'm hope to do the same, 20+ years here myself and I've reached a point where I'm finding myself not enjoying them all the time but still lighting up only to butt out after a few drags...Champix was a suggestion a friend gave me as I've never been succesful quiting cold turkey, so next doctors appointment I'm goin be finding out if its cool for me to get that stuff. Having cancer (spinal ependymoma) didn't make me quit completely and that was ten years back when I was first diagnosed, its a brutal habit I'm hoping to lose. Anyway, cheers to you & good luck for the future.
  15. Looking forward to this one as well. Fingers crossed for a Hamilton or Toronto date.
