  2. I was asked on another board to put together a collection of blues for someone, so the easiest thing for me was just copy one of my playlists and share that. So, here's my 'Blues1' playlist. I avoided putting too much gospel, or scratchy recordings in this playlist, but there may still be one or two that fit in those cateragories. I left all the original file info intact in case anyone wanted to locate the albums these come from and buy em. This is not a pre-war collection if anyone was wondering. That playlist is still in the works Every file is mp3 for simple uploading reasons and outright laziness, if mp3 isn't what you want, it's probally best to not download this. As well a lot of the tracks may still have the album art that I attached to my all my original files, some appear not to though, not sure why. Within the folder the files may not look that organized but they are all tagged internally to show the track/album & artist on my player (winamp) correctly and hopefully yours as well. So, here's 50 Blues Songs. Enjoy. 1. Muddy Waters - Rollin' Stone 2. Albert King & SRV - Blues At Sunrise 3. Buddy Guy & Junoir Wells - Rollin' & Tumblin' 4. Brownie McGhee - Step It Up & Go 5. 3. I'm not goin to any. Personally I enjoy listenin to them at home from time to time, but I'm not really connected with either scene (tour or music in general) anymore. I had my fun. A Toronto show from either band may spark my interest, but thats an "if and when" type deal.
  4. You can actually upload multiple files seperately by clicking the multiple uploader option c-town. Anyway, I removed my previous link, it was deleted due to inactivity, so here's a really sweet cover of John Prine's Sam Stone. Al Kooper (solo acoustic - guitar and piano) November 9th 1974 Record Plant Sausalito, CA KSAN FM 95.5 San Francisco FLAC A+ FM Al solo piano 05 - Sam Stone (John Prine) http://www.sendspace.com/file/7b76vr There's a hole in daddy's arm where all the money goes, Jesus Christ died for nothing I suppose
  5. Ok, thanks. Sorta what I thought.
  6. Heres the results from my test, I posted the detailed results - firewall still up, router to modem. My ISP is Source Cable (quickclic)
  7. Ian, I'm not one to quote-break down posts, so I'll do my best to reply without drifting off topic. Thats just part of the game and it's goin happen and does happen in all levels of the game, from high-school to pro. Not getting around it really. As for the knee-jerk bravado, well I dunno what to say, in many cases I think its just pure emotion that drives certian actions/behaviors, be them good or bad. Ultimately, that's up to individual player to take responsibilty for. In any sport. I don't believe football is any cleaner of a game then hockey is, only that hockey has less players on the ice, then football on the field so its considerably more noticeable. I'll admit football doesn't have fights, at least not like hockey. But to me, its apples and oranges. I much rather compare LAX to hockey then hockey to football. Dirty play is dirty play, regardless if its fighting, cheaping shotting a sensitve star gouging an eye, or "fish" hooking a mouth. I don't condone it but I realize that sometimes emotions and passion take over and at other times, the player is just a jerk/dirty player. I really don't see anyway to curb it entirely. They can ban, suspend, or fine players as much as they want, but I don't think that will stop some other guy's emotions from taking over at one point or another, in my opinion anyway. Off-topic, hope your doin well buddy, been a really long time since we crossed paths.
  8. So just to be clear, you don't upload files but find them hosted on the internet? I read the FAQ, but really didn't see anything on that topic.
  9. It seems as if some folks would be happier with not only banning fighting, but making the game non-contact. No matter what, some guys are going be tougher, bigger and hit harder and some guys will be capable of taking the hits while others won't. Shit, my hockey career ended at 20 playing Jr. C and Jr.B hockey due to getting hit and fracturing my lower vertebrae (L1-L3), it was a clean hit I just went down in a bad way, no ones fault. Its a fast game and its contact, injuires will happen. Maybe there should be weight-classes /sarcasm. I think they have made enough changes to the game, eg: 4vs4 OT, shoot out and no red line etc. I've never cared for this. As for making a bigger ice surface as has been suggested many times over the years, sure it would spread things out, but really it'll just mean faster game, in turn much harder hits and in the end no difference in injuries. In my opinion. I like to watch a good grinded out game. Thats what has always appealed to me. Personally, I still prefer 5vs5 OT and no shoot out, end the game in a tie. Save for playoffs where I would be fine with 4vs4 OT > shoot-out opposed to sudden death continous OT. I know the reasons for the shoot-out and 4vs4 were to speed the game up and make it more "exciting", shit, why not make baseball only 5 innings.
  10. I agree with most of what badams said, only I personally don't have a problem with fighting in the NHL. Thats not to say I'm "pro" fighting, but its part of the game, always has been. Personally, I think badams idea (20 game suspension) is a bit extreme, thats just my opinion. But, thats not to say I'm not open to changes that may or will reduce serious shit like deaths for example, due to fighting. Guys can die or be just as seriously hurt without fighting. I can't really say what would be the best solution, but one thought I've had in the past was to enforce a mandatory face mask rule, not just a visor but a full out face mask/cage. With that in mind, add a penalty/suspension/fine (aside from just fighting) for removing your mask or the other players. One similar to dropping your gloves type deal, but harsher. I imagine players would be less likely to start dropping gloves and swinging at each other if they were looking at punching a cage. Plus, there wouldn't be the number of serious facial injuries (eye injuries come to mind) that we have seen over recent years. Regardless if they did what badams suggested, or what I've suggested there is always going to be fights, simple fact its just part of the game.
  11. Great news indeed. Almost 18 mins of ice time and an assist, not to shabby for being off since late december thats for sure. Hopefully he'll get his groove back soon, and doesn't get his bell rang to many more times.
  12. No more of an exploitation then Yellow Submarine (the movie) was I suppose.
  13. I grabbed a bunch of the collection from TDD when they were up, although I'd say not worth the DL time or bandwidth if your not a Beatles collector/completist. Great for a laugh though or those nights when "it" just hasn't worn off by the time you get home. [color:red][edit to add] Heres the search results at TDD for the complete collection vols. 1-6 for anyone interested. You'll probally need to have an account and be logged in already to see the results though. Still a seed or two on some. http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/search.php?searchid=4937852
  14. Included are numbers like 000-000-0000, or calls only showing 'Iowa', or 'California' instead of an actual number on the display, these are the most annoying as they'll call upwards half a dozen times, varying from 5am to 5pm. A lot of the time if I don't answer and then just hang up (if I'm home), my machine gets loaded with silence, hang ups or the always annoying fax.
  15. Not quite there DB, purple font aside. It has nothing to do with the size or amount of fish. Between gettin up at 3:30-4am and our usual intake of booze and other treats, and trying staying warm on a frozen lake (as we don't always waste money on a hut) until 6pm, then the drive home, clean the fish, cook and eat/drink more, the last thing I wanna do at 10pm is go out, let alone to Toronto.
  16. Wish I could make the friday show, but I'll be ice fishing friday and probally won't be in any shape to travel to Toronto afterwards. Looking forward to the PJC show thats for sure. Great to see so many folks showing the Workers some love, and to think only a year ago I couldn't give away the live shows I have on this board.
  17. Thought that wasn't out until next month. Leaked?
  18. Here's a few I enjoy. Mainly bluegrass, old time and folk. http://www.bluegrassradio.org/ http://www.mountainfolk.com/ http://www.worldwidebluegrass.com/ http://sugarinthegourd.com/
  19. I haven't been to this one since 2003 or so and am planning on hittin it up, its a lot of fun thats for sure. Thanks for the reminder Jay.
