  1. This was my third show, we were sitting about 6 or 7 rows back on Phil side for first set and partied on the lawns for second. Second set sealed the deal for me & The Grateful Dead.
  2. meh - I don't get why it's not all condensed into a single thread for easier viewing (or referencing) as would be suggested by the same folks if it was any other band or festival etc. But threads are easy enough to ignore so it really doesn't bother me to be honest.
  3. GD in 93 at Rich we watched as 30 or more folks proceeded to tear down parts of the fence, in the process get beat by or fight with the security and after the show we saw a different section of fence that had been torn down at some point. Needless to say, between that sorta attitude, the growing number of deaths (2 at that show alone), the growing levels violence in the lots and the overall vibe on tour june 13 1993 was when I hung up my GD touring shoes. Off topic I know....
  4. $100 a ticket now-a-days is basically $30-40 from early 90s, especially since venues/ticket agencies came up with "graduated ticketing" (closer you are the more it cost). Plus, I think PJ eventually had to submit if they wanted to play venues that didn't leave loads of fans unable to get tickets due to limited capacity since a lot of bigger venues had deals with TM. Not too mention overall cost of living. Concert tickets back in the later half of the 80s into mid 90s were cheap compared to now-a-days. I mean, I paid $36 for front row stones tickets back in 89 - now-a-days, I'm sure that would be a $250+ ticket. My GD tickets in 93 were only $27.50 (mail order), Neil Young only $43 in 1996. In fact, until about 97-99 most of my stubs don't exceed $50 for bands that now-a-days charge $150-$300 to see today.
  5. A couple friends in Hamilton did as well (both downtown) but we didn't feel a thing on the west mountain (garth st & linc). Apparently Stoney Creek got it a bit more then Hamilton according to the radio.
  6. Warning: may cause anal seepage. Reports claim 12% less seepage!
  7. I suspect people without iphones will still want to use pedals.

    Breaking Bad

Yeah, I'm a dumbass. I read the headline and that was it. Good to know though, thanks.

    Breaking Bad

So AMC cancelled it? Perhaps I'm not getting something here, but moving to ABC seems like a downgrade considering they [ABC] won't air shows with swearing, let alone words like shit or even ass. Making it a sitcom really bites as well, now we'll get more commercials then actual show. If AMC dropped it that'll be a drag, my cable company just added AMC to our basic cable package back in january and I've been enjoying it.
  10. I've posted this a bunch of times in the past but it seems like a good time to post it again.. Chords/lyrics for every Bob Dylan album up to Modern Times, plus some extras. http://www.sendspace.com/file/wda9x3
  11. Ok, I'll play along since I'm celebrating the death of my 30s and am half lit up... Brian Jonestown Massacre formed 1990. The term "indie" - popped up early 80s. 60's psych, indie, jamband, rock & roll, emo, doesn't matter to me really. I'm not one to get worked up (or even care), about the music genre labels ot there today. I just like what I like and go from there.

    Good vibes?

    (((c-towns))) :chug: x8 (so far)
  13. Kudos Schwa, had I known not liking a bands name would warrant such discussion, I would have said something about band names long ago. Seriously? Phish? As for Brian Jonestown Massacre, I've heard the band's music and have never really had any interest in it - a bit too far into the indie sound for me. As for the band name - meh Kind of a weak comparison in my opinion, considering the (possible) origins of the name. For a long time I always heard the name came from this.

    Good vibes?

I've always said (on another board) that all these e-vibe requests are nothing more then bracket solicitation. eg: ((((c-towns)))
  15. Maybe it's the music. Turn off the suck. If that's not the problem, there's Coltech electronics on Kenora Ave as well.
  16. ignorant adj. 1. Lacking education or knowledge. 2. Showing or arising from a lack of education or knowledge: an ignorant mistake. 3. Unaware or uninformed. Aka: a mouth breather.
