I don't recall where I heard or read this and I could have a few details mixed up, but from my understanding a governor on one of the engines failed causing an engine to run too quickly which allowed for a sudden influx of natural gas to travel up the drill column and the safety devices in place to stop the engines when that happened failed and didn't shut it down. Ultimately providing an ignition source which caused the first explosion.

I sorta agree with ya. Last year or so when some of the first the recordings/footage of them showed up I was diggin' it (at least that one video), but after hearing some of the outtakes that have been circulating around I've come to a similar conclusion. There is some Dan/Brian/Daryl only jams floating around though and it's superior.

I got one for my 12th birthday. I remember we were moving to NFLD and I spent my b-day on a train somehwere between Montreal & NS playing it. Great memories. My younger brother had Frogger.

Still ranks as one of the best shows I've seen.

The week leading to a long weekend is always pretty heavy, so I'm goin to rehab.

I've seen Feat before Shaun joined opening for ABB at Maple Leaf gardens (LF encore was Dixie Chicken, w/ Warren & Jeff Healey) and numerous times after she joined & I can honestly say I have never been disappointed with a Little Feat show. I thought she added a nice flavour to the mix. Was that the Bluesfest show? I saw Feat at Ontario Place (revolving stage) with Dr. John, BB King, Pinetop Perkins (amongst a few others). I was at the docks show as well, thing I remember the most was how bad the sound there was.

Shaun left Little Feat back in february and word was that she would be returning to Bob Seger's band. Although I don't know if she actually did.

It's a weekend (opposed to tuesday) and is closer. Between gas & a border crossing, $40 is cheap. Not too mention the quality of beer.

Awesome vocalist. Dio shows were always a sight to see. Very sad news.
