Jeff Conaway passed away last night. Loved his roles on Taxi and Babylon 5. Grease and Celebrity Rehab, not so much. Conaway said he started his drug-abusing after gettting injured while filming Grease. I hate that movie even more. I hope his tortured soul has finally found relief.

The starters are finally getting more quality starts and logging more innings lately, which is helping the bullpen (they have been good to great so far this season... except for Dotel). I'd love to see the batting order healthy and hitting to their potential from top-to-bottom. Bautista's production is even more impressive given Lind's recent setback and sketchy batting from most of the lineup.

I'd say the albums just progressed. I think their sound would have evolved/changed regardless of the personnel changes (more like tweaks). Oops- I meant At Dawn. I've only heard two songs from the new album. I don't like Black Metal at all. But if it's more like At Dawn than It Still Moves, this is good news. It Still Moves is too rambling - it loses focus half way through.

Syllogy on the Danforth is a good frame store. They did a nice job on my wife's theatre poster. We also bought some nice looking photo frames from there too. Reasonable prices. Governments bailing out dinosaur car companies was a short-term fix too. And those fuckers (GM, Ford etc...) still aren't investing enough into alternative technologies... and they had the time. No matter in the long run. Less reliance on cars is healthier for the environment in the long-run.

Justified was created by Graham Yost (son of Elwy from TVOntario's long-running "Saturday Night at the Movies"). Graham wrote and produced The Pacific, wrote two episodes of Band of Brothers and a couple of episodes of From Earth to the Moon. Band of Brothers is the best TV series I've ever seen.

I love Carnivale, Deadwood and Bored to Death. When do the final episodes of Rescue Me begin on Showcase? Love that show. Both Spartacus series are guilty pleasures, although John Hannah rocks as Batiatus. True Blood Fringe Supernatural Arrested Development Justified Being Human (BBC version) Doctor Who (the new BBC reboot) Torchwood (Doctor Who spinoff) Father Ted Sherlock Holmes (the new 3 episode series that bouche mentioned and the BBC '80s version starring Jeremy Brett).

Nice seeing Baylor's Watkins from BC going in the 1st round, even though it was to the Eagles. The draft was more exciting than the Canucks-Preds game.

I'm surprised Boston won the series. They are a really dumb team and took some really idiotic penalties. If the refs caught that Ferrence hit, Montreal would have won. If Boston plays the same way against Philly, the Flyers will blow their doors off. Oh, and thanks Leafs for Kaberle. He's fucking brutal.

And the starters have been better as of late. Two good wins over a quality opponent in Texas too.

I've read lots of your posts over the years and agree with many. Sure, I'm a music snob, but I like lots of different styles and genres - and respect and even admire bands I hate with an unholy passion such as Genesis, The Cure and Depeche Mode. I've grown tired of most jam bands though, other than The Dead and Allmans. And I hate to admit it, but I think I'm done with The Mule, Phish and Black Crowes. I love many bands that borrow heavily from their heroes. The Black Keys sound is heavily influenced by Junior Kimbrough and we all can guess who some of Jack White and MMJ's heroes are.
