CyberHippie
Best pop ever... Well I was in Burlington yesterday at a Hastey Market and they had Pop Shoppe pop. WTF? Slightly different bottle, but still pop shoppe. They had lime rickey, black cherry, cream soda, and root beer. Weird! http://www.pww.on.ca/shoppe.htm

Super Freak
The Pop Shoppe was awesome(if you were lucky enough to get some) Not like now, pop is like a daily staple for some people...it's not a treat anymore.
SaggyBalls
best idea going. go buy the soda, return the bottles...like a alcohol free beer store idea...except it's only one manufacturer...but still! i liss them. wish they'd get some financial backing and get going again. I think it could work.
StoneMtn
I used to love that place. As I recall, very funky little bottles that you can't get anymore with any other type of sodapop. Awesome memory as a kid. (I miss the Pop Shoppe and the now defunct chocolate bar known as "WigWag"; anyone remember that?)
zero
I remember the one in Gravenhurst and hence associate it with summer and cottaging etc. Kind of like Santa's Village.
bouche
did every town have a bottling factory? There was one in Kingston, and while you chose your assortment, you could watch the production line through a glass window. I always loved watching automated machine thingies. as great as it was, they were still hocking liquid sugar.
\/\/illy
Wow, that's totally fu©ked; I was just thinking about them yesterday. They used to deliver to my house every week. Nice hardwood cases filled with whatever particular assortment you needed for that week. Sweet.
PhishyK
I remember it so well. We used to have one in Chemainus, BC where my mom lived for a spell when I was a kid. Good memories, those. They had an arcade in there man! ::
paisley
Pop Shoppe chips, 3 bags to a red and white box... can still taste the flavor of their salt and vinegar as I type this... how the hell does a place like that go out of business, someone must've got awful busy powdering their nose or something... they produced all their own product and were the first pop brand to encourage bottle recycling, if I remember correctly
CyberHippie
Yeah, bottom line, people didn't want to be bothered returning the bottles anymore. It was easier to buy coke and throw the packaging away... Ain't progress grand So what the hell is pop shoppe pop doing in the hastey market in Burlington. Is someone making it again? Oh yeah, I have an autographed picture of Eddy Shack that I got at the pop shoppe one time. Crazy...
c-towns
fu©k ya, i think the ones in Windsor and Chatham were the last ones to go, limericky and strawberry were by far the greatest.

voodoolady
Weird! A bunch of us were just talking about Pop Shoppe the other day!!! Stapes had a Cream Soda At Caribbean Flavours and said it reminded him of Pop Shoppe Cream Soda. I was always a fan of the Cream Soda and Orange!
