Jaimoe
Only one, but for me, nothing can touch it: The Who @ The Fillmore East: Sept.6, 1968 ( bootleg ). As Townshend once said describing The Who's sound: " Power and volume ". This concert proves it. I have two more that I haven't listened to yet ( Jeff from CD Replay loaned me all these CD bootlegs ): - Wilco Yankee Foxtrot demos - Wilco Live ( I don't know the year, but I think it's fairly recent )

guigsy
haha, yeah, i posted that in the thread i started about the disc... apparently shooting started a couple days ago? i heard that martin wasnt gonna make a video for it unless they got Herb specifically... haha, i think its awesome... i guess they sent him a disc, or a copy of the song or whatever, and he liked it, so his friends got on him to do the video... i got all that second hand so i dunno, but its a fun story.. "The Tarleks came from the west - they grooved. White belts shining in the pounding sun, they came from Cincinatti-O, fanning out across the central plains." DevO
Derek Trucks Band - Soul Serenade - Picked this up the other day in the used bin at Dr. Disc in Hamilton and its a sweet album! Nice flow between songs, one track with Greg Allman on vocals. I might describe the sound as if Wayne Shorter had played guitar instead, and joined ABB and taken over. Frank London's Klezmer Brass Allstars - Its hard to describe this unbelievable music! I first heard it about a week ago on Jazz 91.1 in Toronto, a song called 'Sacred Dance of the Scissors'. I was blown away and I had to get some more. Combining klezmer, arabic music and fast paced US big band jazz, amazing compositions.. Frank London has played with all sorts of people: John Zorn, LL Cool J, David Byrne, Marc Ribot, They Might Be Giants, etc. Go here for samples. Go here for a really good review. Iron & Wine - The Creek Drank The Cradle The Spades - Burning On Fumes thats all i can think of for now!
