Question for anyone who's been to the Amp this year. Are they still harsh with the entrance search?

I've hardly been touched there this year. However, the boy gets the thorough friskin'. Hahaha!

My suggestions:

-if you're going w/a lady friend, have her stash any unmentionables in her shirt

-try to be searched by a member of the opposite sex

-have a decoy (bag, blanket, etc. that they will have to spend a few minutes searching)

-do not hide anything in a pack of cigarettes or tape case ;) *hint hint* ~W

-be nice and try to make their job as easy as possible

Good luck!

In for both...and anyone know whether JLC is a strictly sit-down venue ('cuz I'm gonna have a problem doing that)?

And Jaimoe, wouldn't you say Gregg Allman & Friends is a totally different band? When I saw them last winter at the Niagara Falls Casino in NY, it was with Robben Ford on guitar, Willie Weeks on bass, and Floyd Miles on vocals/percussion. I know what you mean though...but as long as the Brothers are playing, and not charging an arm and a leg for a ticket, I'll be going to see them...and loving them I hope!

When Greg does his solo stuff, I tune out. His solo stuff gets too r&b and pop-rock for my liking. Unless Dickey gets invited back into the band, this incarnation will never be a true Allman Brothers. Warren, Derek etc... can only mimic the original sound of the original guitarists. You can't replace history, sound, style and ( thanks 'tube ), character.

due to having checked my bank balance yesterday (bad shock) and upcoming moving/furniture expenses i need to take into account...i may be hitching my way from here to london and back. ah well, it'll make me feel like i'm in my 20s again...hehe ;)

so if anyone's gonna be driving from london back to ottawa at some point and could give me a ride, it would be much appreciated! thanks...

The Allman Brothers Band always sneaks up on me, because I can not believe the gig is tomorrow!

Then again I've been off work more than I have been on work for the last couple months and the days are just blending in together lately.

See you all there tomorrow.

Hey Tim, are you going to Basher's bash?

I don't know where is the Basher's/Stoned Phillips Bash info? Is it in this thread or another one as I didn't know about it?

I have the day off so I have the time, but it depends on my friend Andrew who scored me free tickets to the Allmans gig. I have to go with his plans as I am his driving whore.

BTW Here is my review from the Allman Brothers Band at bonnaroo this year that I just posted a few days ago.
