phorbesie
so, now that i've got my tree set up (my mother laughed hysterically that i put it up already...is it too soon?!) soon i'll be wanting to listen to christmas music. looking for something new. i typically don't like the jingly songs (ie jingle bells) but more the quiet holy ones (ie holy night). however, any suggestions will be welcome, i'm looking forward to getting something new. what are your favourite holiday albums? Patchoulia
Christmas music drives me nuts. Maybe that's because I'm anti-Christmas or maybe it's because you hear the same songs over and over and over everywhere you go for 2 months of every year and that's just too much for a person's soul to bear. That being said, who's got my nog?

moe.ron
well, it is good to know there is other Christmas lovers out there! Of course moe. has a christmas album that I play a lot this time of year, and the charlie brown christmas is awesome!!, but I also enjoy a little Perry Como. He just has this great soothing voice that gets me all sentimental. p.s. thanks for the Jimmy Buffet info...I didn't even know he had a Christmas album, let alone an 'island' one!! SWEEEEEET!I love christmas!
StoneMtn
This is the album Velvet refers to, and it's awesome: Oh, and like Stoned Phillips, I generally detest Christmas music. Both of the above albums are different though. Jethro Tull also has a few great songs, like "Jack Frost and the Hooded Crow", "Ring Out Solstice Bells", or "Christmas Song". Alexis
everyone is making me think i have a heart of coal.maybe it was the all christmas music all the time radio station i had to listen to for 3 years straight at my last job.it's nice to know there's so much variety out there for the xmas tunes, but hearing any of them but the bing crosby / david bowie one really just makes me want to rip out my toe nails, stab them into my eyes and then gnaw through my wrists until somehow i die.p.s. it was flurrying this morning...boooop.s.s my mum is inviting 5 of her jesus freak friends to our christmas dinner (it's just her and me, i have the world's smallest family) and i think in retaliation (pretaliation?) of all the jesuscentricness of it i'm going to invite the muslim guy from work and his wife and 3 kids hehehehe
