Esau.
Waking up, alnighters aren't really part of my repertoire anymore. Very, very rare now-a-days anyway. Its friday, I have no work to go to, figured a beer for breakfast was in order.

Esau.
This morning was my first beer since sunday remarkably enough. One was all I required to get the much needed boost to do laundry, sit around and listen to bluegrass.

jaybone
I'm rockin' the Dogfish Head IPA!Thanks for the heads up! I'm glad to see the LCBO bringing in a few tasty brews- when you can find them. The wife is away this weekend- I think an Anchor Steam might make a suitable breakfast tomorrow.Perhaps in the shower. Ol'Hickster
. Just got back from the LCBO and I decided to buy a bunch of differnt polish beers they had on Display and am goin to endulge myself today, But im starting off on a English beer that is from Oxfordshire, called Hobgoblin ( I bought it because of the look of the bottle and the hobbgolin on the front but I am really enjoying this one! Its got a nice body and is a darker ale but it has a chocloate toffee kinda after flavour, its smooth and not too bitter Deffinatly on my buy again list or the day ! and I would recomend it! Rossolee
For fans of local micro beers, tickets are on sale for this years CaskDays. It's a fun event, lots of tasty one-off cask kegs, and this years line-up looks great. Bummed I can't make it, but UM and Trey should make up for it http://www.caskdays.com/ http://www.barvolo.com/
bradm
Does anyone know a bar in toronto that has any magic hat? Or a Beer store that might stock it? I don't think that either The Beer Store or the LCBO stock it. I wish they did, though, if for no other reason than http://magichat.net/getunderthecap/ A member of another board I'm on popped the top on a Magic Hat Number 9, to find Aloha, Brad
ForbinHood
They do not stock it Brad you are correct. Not for years of trying.

SolarGarlic
Rogues: and... Alleykat's: Rogue beers are pretty awesome and I can't wait to check their taproom out when we head to Portland for NYE this year! Beers abound!! The Alleykat beer is ok. I couldn't have too many in one sitting but there is a definite pumpkin pie (pi?) flavour going on that, if you like that sort of thing, is kinda neat. bradm
I picked up a couple of cans of beers by Neustadt Springs the other day, and liked them a lot. Their lager is nice, but their Scottish Pale Ale is great: it's got a really good balance between maltiness (it's not nearly as malty as, say, Mill St. Tankhouse) and hoppiness. :thumbup:Aloha,Brad

bradm
Praise be unto Steamwhistle, who have resurrected the old-style 12-packs that are arranged as two rows of six bottles, as opposed to the newer style of three rows of four bottles. The 6x2 arrangement, with its pull-up handle, is 'way easier to carry than the 3x4, and Steamwhistle has even improved on the older design: instead of two flaps, one per row of six, that were glued down, their new pack has two overlapping full-width flaps, with some clever cardboard punched-out fold-ins that allow you to re-close the whole thing. And it also comes with 12 bottles of Steamwhistle, so even if the cardboard engineering doesn't get you going, the beer will.Aloha,Brad
Jaimoe
I agree Brad, the Steamwhistle 12's are well arranged and constructed. Too bad about the beer though. I wish I liked it - the brewery does everthing right, from the location of the brewery to the beer tour to their respect for Toronto heritage. Davey Boy 2.0
except the fecking green bottles! companies that use green bottles drive me insane... so many brands that are so foten skunky– Heinies, Moosehead, Grolsch (not that people buy them in bottles much), Sleemans, Steamwhistle, StellaAND the farther those bottles have to travel the more likely they are to be skunky.Right. Back to my Guiness.Beer,db
Jaimoe
Dave, what brand of Sleeman is in green bottles? As far as I know, all their mostly delicious beer brands are in clear bottles.
