Tomorrow morning i start my trek for Vegas to which I will be marrying Melinda Elizabeth Stephens on Saturday January 13th. Mellie, I love you with all my heart. In only six states is it equally easy for a husband to take his wife's last name as it is for a wife to take her husband's; usually, it's harder, and in California, it's not possible at all: instead, a husband must go through a regular name change (a wife can get her last name changed as part of the marrying process).
