AdamH
Enjoying my day off today, it suddenly occured to me that the Hip Hop act I most identify with is De La soul. Any thoughts? Are you skewed towards Kool moe Dee, or do you fancy yourself a veritable Leader of the New School?

Jaimoe
I must say, Missy Elliot is pretty dope. I can't understand a word she says, but she has it going on. Know what I'm sayin'? The Beasties are great too. N.E.R.D. is one of the best hip-hop bands out there today. So are the Nappy Roots and The Roots.

Jaimoe
KRS-One is really cool, except when he rapped on that R.E.M song in the early 90s.
gentlemonkey
krs one was way cool in Boogie Down Productions. My Philosophy is still classic. The old hiphop records from the late 80s/early 90s always had timeless tunes and crap- see jimmyhat on bdp's by all means necc. for proof of that. You gotta love everything off of raptraxx 1 and 2. sweet stuff. remember 'no sleep til bedtime!' haha. HipHops faves- in order. (g-huy!) - Ice T (power-iceberg) - Public Enemy (nation of millions- fear of a ..) - Ice CUbe..(thru nwa) amerikkaas most wanted thru death certificate. STOMPIN! ghetto bird. list goes on and on.. awesome talent. when raw. - Tribe Called Quest- low end theory espech. - Beastie Boys - the whole Wu Tang thang. mostly- the solo stuff- Tical, liquid swords, raekwon, ole dirty. Now I'm all about 50 cent!! not.
Rob Not Bob
Does Tricky count? I've been listening to a lot of Beastie Boys lately ... still love Public Enemy, still have a soft spot for De La Soul and Cypress Hill ... I know, I'm a fossil. Guest Low Roller
Yeah, Cypress Hill is the fucking shizzle. Their first album was also the first tape that I played in perpetuity until the tape wore off. I'm talking months and months of non-stop classics like "Hand on the Pump", "Pigs", "Real Estate", "Latin Lingo", and of course "The Phuncky Feel One". I had a rather vast collection of rap tapes in my youth, and most of them are still relevant today: - Funkdoobiest - House of Pain - Dr. Dre (The Chronic) - Paris - Public Enemy - EPMD - Ice Cube ("Wicked" was a killer tune)
Freeker
Black Eyed Peas are touring with Justin Timberlake, combine that with their new mainstream single = total loss of respet for the peas, too bad. Have you guys ever heard the "Blunted Reality" album by The Fugees, their first album, long before "the Score" made them huge. It's one of the best rap albums of all time, if you've never heard it all I can say is Boof Baff!!
