Schwa.
I am guessing a lot of fans will be there tonight. When we went to pick up our tickets this morning with our passes all we could get is 18 rows back at the 1st baseline in the 500's. Usually 30 minutes before game time we can get a few rows back behind home plate.Good news, hoping for a packed house!
Basher
Good idea going in the morning. The ticket windows will be a shit show before the game, with 12,000 people or so thinking they can just "walk up" and buy tickets minutes before first pitch. Kanada Kev
5-1 for the Jays going into the 9th. Great crowd too. Hope the Yankees fans are getting an earful Nothing like seeing the Yanks get spanked. peipunk
I wasn't saying anything about them winning until it was over, or else I would get the wrath of the Sloth for the jinx. As I was posting about the attendance, the Yankees scored one. That scared me off.
Jaimoe
Sportsnet just said attendance is 43,737. What an awesome game to be at.Jamie Campbell thinks it was higher and I agree. The total was taken early in the game. It looked closer to 47,000.

Cully
We had a blast. The 500's were rocking, and nobody in our section got too drunk and obnoxious (except me) Doc pitched a great game and it was so nice to see Rolen get the job done. Can't wait to hit up the next game.

MoMack
Anyone watching the tele catch if Matsui was hurt? He was the DH but only for one AB before they put Swisher in?
MoMack
Jeter too - just realized he didn't play. Were the Yankees mailing it in last night knowing they weren't going to beat Doc?
peipunk
Matsui left with a "tight hamstring".Jeter had a "sore oblique" I think. Both of those means that baseball players are fucking pussies. Confirmed.
MoMack
But are they playing tonight? Hopefully not...

Confirmed.Agreed Punk. Imagine if an NFL player informed his coach he would not be playing due to a sore oblique muscle.
peipunk
Well I was sort of just doing my Booche impression, I actually sympathize with pitcher arm injuries...that is incredible burst stress to throw a baseball 90 mph! But yeah, sore oblique? Not so much.
Patchoulia
I think the oblique can only be claimed as a legit injury if you're a pitcher...that could be serious.
Booche
That was some fun ball to watch. That crowd definitely had an old-school vibe to it with a new-school attitude. It came across great on the tele. Doc was incredible, as usual. I admit to getting caught up in the hype but it matched the expectations. Fuck watching the Bruins and Lucic. Someone knock them out already!
Schwa.
The fans in right field were absolutely GIVIN' IT to the right fielder. He took the bait several times...seemed to be getting irk'd. 40,000+ people yelling AYYYYYYYYY JAAAAAYYYYYYYYY AAAAAAAYYYYYYYY JAAAAAYYYYYYYY was a lot of fun too
