Dave, i am slightly saddend that you'll not be flippin' any birds at me in the months and years to come but somehow knowing your talent for surlyness you'll come up with a fresh perspective on telling me where to go On a serious note, I know what it's like to go through a house fire and lose everything~ there's not much you can do but take solace in the arms of your friends and family and be thankful you're still here. I didn't realize just how close things were for you guys until hearing from Sharon last night and reading some of this. All I can say is my relief has exploded! You guys mean so much to me, and I'm sure, everyone around. I'm so glad you're focused on all of this love going around. It truely works magic. I am so glad everyone is alive and on the road to recovery. The love and kindness expressed by everyone in the community and on-line community is so heartwarming. Please don't hesitate to let me know if there is anything I can do for you. I also wanted to let everyone know how impressed I am with the quick response to this disaster. I went for a quick visit yesterday and the clothes and donations were piling up. I'm sure everyone will be on their feet in no time. It really is all about the love. Just thought id keep people posted on my condition. Just returned from one of the top eye specialists in Ottawa and he was alot more positive than the previous doctor. My eye sight in my right is about 75% now (i read a little today ) and the prognosis for the left eye is alot better. Its improved a bit overnight and i can make out shapes and colours and recognize people with it . Hes very optimistic that i shouldnt need glasses or anything if my eye keeps healing at the pace its going at. No news on my hands (i see the plastic surgeon next wednesday i think) but i really cant complain excdpt for the oozing (honestly YIKES on oozing factor). Ive basically lost my rogers email account so ive set up a new one -> theslothalive@hotmail.com. Id appreciate it if i could get peoples phone numbers and email addresses again (also feel free just to say hello). To the victims: I hope that you heal up fast, and that the loss does not weigh too heavy.
