I cant thank you all enough and im very grateful i lived through it all to be here. I really love you all from the bottom of my heart (and trust me almost dying really increases your capacity for love) I just got released from the hospital so i really dont know whats going on. Julia and I have gotten a few bags of clothing already (thank you so much) and I think right now I just need to sleep but I want to give a quick update first. Velvet is doing well, survived the fire without much damage and some kind friends are letting him stay in their unrented 1 bedroom apartment until things get settled. Theres a chance the majority of his musical instruments survived (i think he'll know more tonight, keep your fingers crossed). Julia(howler) is doing okay. Some smoke inhalation, alot of scares but shes doing well now. I think losing all of her art is crushing but shes keeping her head up. Wilson has diarrhea but all in all seems unscathed. Myself didnt make out quite so well. Ill probably need skin grafts for some of my left hand and one finger (the good ole fuck you finger) on my right - those who know me well know how much use I get out of that digit so im mildly saddened. Im blind in my left eye (but the eye specialist thinks it will mend but not a 100%), my right eye is 50% and blurry but good enough to read. My face isnt too bad (beard got an instant trim) except for my nose. Lungs and throat took a real beating but they've got me on some steriod that will help it heal. All in all (and i cant stress this enough) i got lucky. Anyway thats that in a nutshell, Im really really happy to be alive. The only thing i wanted to say was while everyone is wishing Howler,Velvet,Wilson and me love that you take the time out and love the living crap out of everyone around you. It seems that in spite of all you've lost, you haven't lost your sense of humour! Well, hey - the bird-flipping days may have gone the way of Garcia - - but it's clear you're seeing the bigger picture. I wish you all a speedy recovery! Steve told me bits and pieces of the story, and as I listened in horror, i couldn't imagine the fear and thoughts that might have been going through your head. We are so gratefull for the massive love and support coming our way. We are so lucky to have the best crew of friends on the planet....amazing....thankyou in ways I can't even convey. Dave saved my life. I was collapsed and given up and Hendrick grabbed me by the neck or something and threw me out the back window. Life saved.....so happy to be here responding and experiancing this love. My brain is still not quite clicking properly and my writing skills are sketchy so I'm going now. Thankyou all again so much for everything.Also massive thanks to all who searched and rescued our dog.....to be honest every thing was so not allright and never would have without Wilson. Now nothing matters....Todd,his cat,Dave and our dog...we are all good and not much else matters. AQs for the art...uninportant....I still have my creative brain and thats where all the art comes from. I love you all. Love life. Smell the freakin flowers.
