The difference is about $500 I just tried a few minutes ago and there are some "standard tickets" coming up as available. Floor seats, $221 plus charges.

Happy Day! A tour like this only happens once in a lifetime. I imagine it would be quite extensive, it's a big country. Which cities will they hit? I would definitely stay up late to buy a ticket.

Well, they don't call it 'Rocktober' for nothing! Conveniently coincides with our Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. But if an extremely large amount of $$ doesn't magically show up in my account before then, count me out!

I was in the same boat. I hated Prince in the mid-80s. Mostly because I listened to Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Ozzy, etc. pretty much exclusively back in those days. Pop and R&B music was not on my radar, in fact I detested most of it. I never saw the movie "Purple Rain". But about 10 years later I listened to "Purple Rain" and paid close attention to the guitar solo. I was sold! Later on, the cover band I was in played Dec. 31st 1999 New Year's eve party at a bar, of course we played "1999". I started liking his tunes a lot more and really appreciated the song-writing and musicianship, but apparently not enough to buy a ticket for a Prince show, which now I regret.

I got lawns for Syracuse from the lottery, and seats for Mansfield through livenation.com just now. Also going to see Steely Dan in Mansfield, the night before Phish. It will be my 2nd time seeing the Dan and the Phish on consecutive nights! Should be a fun weekend!

One tip I can offer (based on comments from friends who went last year for The Stones) is to be in good shape. If you want a decent spot close to the main stage, you'll have to arrive early and you'll be on your feet all day. And of course they sell beer. It's Quebec!
