  1. for the record, I kick ass harder than any taco, burrito, or suck-ass-sub around. just remember that suckas! word! ps....Jumbo Empanadas in Kensington is the best for a right-good ass-whomping! Mike...hope you & Sharon get to finally check it out!
  2. Marsha knows. Marsha rules. Marsha kicks ass (line up all y'all mo'fos!!!) HAPPY B-DAY MAMMA-MARSHA....sorry we live so freakin' far away but I know this'll be an awesome-fun celebration, maybe even one to go down in the history books. Sam Stone...ensure she wakes up not remembering how she got to bed.
  3. should really say "Withoutherspoon" :-)
  4. me, too Ms. Hux...I'm a wine & jacuzzi kinda gal (why rush things, I always say)...but this pounding back a brew in the shower before heading out to a show (or church, even) sounds like sumpin' to try!
  5. S, I know you think I've been a "meanie" butsnot true! we'll do our best to get out and support this endeavour.....esp. if "beverages" might p'haps include Sangria? (I've been thinking about you & Mike recently...have you guys hit your 1-year anni yet?) miss ya lots babe...we WILL reconnect soon!
  6. sound & light show. Where's the huge awesome thunderstorms we be promised? ps...I've been missing all you skanks sumpin' terrible!!! thank slap for summer holidays round the bend and getting out from under the crazy-stress-work-life.... hope to reconnect with many of ya's!!! (it was FINE seeing some of youse this past weekend!)
  7. truly, you is fun & funny. plus you have a nice sweater-coat, so you got that going for ya. I'm glad you can put it in perspective. A job does NOT define you or your life. It simply buys beer.
  8. Wow...just catching up on this! CONGRATS! Asheville looks and sounds awesome for you guys as you continue the "long strange trip...." that is a marriage of two freaks!!! Your quote below and some of your other comments about your trip to Ashville remind me of many, many times Dave & I shared in both near and far/overseas locales! Keep it WEIRD. Keep it FUN. Keep it HOT!
  9. Dear Winter, you are so last season! I just bought a pair of sexy, strappy sandals, and YOU, winter, are cramping my style. Hit the road, biotch...and um, just go ahead and let the door hit your ass on the way out! See you on the fashion runways and ski hills in about 8 months, when you finally have something new and fresh to offer. For now, I'm tired of your repetitive and bland colour schemes.
  10. Did you also hear the bit in your head where Simon Jones (The Book) narrates the solution to the "long-sought after infinite improbability drive" achieved through a really hot cup of tea...? Ahhh, Dave has been reading me bedtime Douglas Adams recently. But this finding doesn't surprise me, as Leona's bedspread was this micro-fibre thingee which produced such huge amounts of static electricity that she would put on her own freaky light show in the dark before falling alseep. It's weird fabric on its own, and it just got weirder!

  13. yep...we're still planning to go with kids in tow. (We just have to survive the tasmanian devil which is my 5 year old nephew for a sleep-over the night before. Lord give me strength to endure it!) What time are you planning to go....? We'll most likely arrive for a late lunch/early dinner.
  14. Well, I couldn't find the exact vid I was looking for, but this one is also kinda cute....anyone else think the wookie near the end looks familiar....?
  15. I was shown this video at a recent Teacher PD thingee on cyber-safety... I don't facebook, nor do I believe I ever will.... We were also shown the details in the Facebook user agreement that says Facebook will OWN IN PERPETUITY anything that users post, EVEN IF you later delete photos or text, Facebook has captured a copy and OWNS everything. I just find the ease with which people share photos and intimate details creepy...I have to agree with Howler about worrying about pervs....And maybe I am a bit over-cautious (paranoid?) but I feel that in this Brave New World we are entering, I feel better being as 'invisible' (untrackable) as possible. on a slighly lighter (though still creepy) note there's a funny vidoe 22 Minutes did about Facebook...I will try to find it.
  16. hey BWM...maybe we should finally make this our "play-date" and bring all 4 kids to seed the dance floor with, given the early afternoon start time. Are kids allowed in at that time, do you think? The "youth" price suggests it, non? Brad, if we do go, p'haps we can squeeze you in between the girls in the back seat. And Aaron...it'd simply rock to see ya!
  17. YAY. I always hear "when they come for me, tell them I'm not here...." when I think of you in Ottawa, L.S!! Plan to get mangled again....Dave & I can't wait to see y'all.... and you, too Jonyak...I was thinking it's been so long your hair has probably grown back!!
  18. might be the most giver'ner...or the giverin'est?? we really want ta give'er and to see lots of you beautiful folks again, but will most likely only make it out for one evening. also, has there been any talk about making one of the nights another prom-dress pageant, ladies?

  20. that was awesome wicked fun! great to see so many folks we hadn't crossed paths with in awhile. thanks to the band for rockin' it so very hard and long! I love what DD does for my mojo!!
  21. all black outfit with yellow electrical tape up the middle and toy cars sewn on = the 401!!! I also usually create little accidents/pile-ups with a cop speeding to the scene. cheap and easy to create. But I've done this so often, I need a change up for next year...looking at the nude beach idea!!!
  22. goaty goodness and 2 thumbs "way way up"...how can I possibly wish for more for ya? I do hope you were well-celebrated this weekend (and will be again this coming weekend...it's the only fair way to make up for a Monday birthday) I'm so glad you're a part of my world. We miss you when we don't hang out so often!
  23. bumped into the number one "skank I MUST meet" spot!! Great costume idea! The homes in North Tonawanda were always similarly ablaze! play nice and be safe, y'all who be attending!!!
  24. the very happiest of days, birthday girl!!!
  25. hey Rob not Bob, can you please start the next theme...or anyone? anyone? I'm too brain dead this morning. :-(
