1) a really nice cool breeze coming in the window, especially welcome after a long muggy week 2) an amazing thunderstorm h) when people mess up communication/ideas on the interweb 4) a rim job 5) cold beer(and a joint) on a hot afternoon of outdoor working. 6) simple acts of kindness; one man/woman's garbage is another's gold 7) campfires in your own backyard 8) Back Forty artisan cheese (Highland Blue, Flower Station feta and Dalhousie especially) 9) sunday afternoons with steve kimock & pete sears 10) Mojito (rum, mint, lime, ice and club soda) 11) Losing a really close game of Cribbage 12) fuÇking in front of mirrors (but not underneath, that sh!t's 80's cheesy) 13) Stomping around in rain puddles 14) Playing with your dog and a water hose. I laugh out loud every time. 15) Sleep 16) sunrises/sunsets 17) birds singing to start the day THERE! I think I straightened all that out. 18) 15 after 12 followed by 17 late morning.

This IS neat....I LOVE the CBC....at WestFest today I got a paper fan that says "I'm a CBC fan!" ....side-splitting punnery! But really, follow this link if you have a spare hour or two! it's true, Keri...this is a recurring topic. A hot bath, St. John's Wort OR Valerian, and lavendar on the pillow works well for me.... I also once had a relaxation tape (long ago lost, now) that I enjoyed the few times I used it. hey, Sari....could you kindly make me a copy of your tape, if possible???/ But Sharon, you'll look gorgeous on your wedding day no matter how much/how little sleep you get. You're a knock-out! So as long as you're not stressed, as Ms Zimmy said above, enjoy even these wakeful moments of going over/visualizing your BIG day!

I guess I'm lucky b/c I'm living EXACTLY where I want to.....a cool little Ontario village, with all the necessities, but a short drive to a medium-sized city when we need that urban fix. truly, though, my 'metropolis' years are over. I think the population-congestion, pollution & traffic of cities just depresses me too much. Yes, please!!!

from all accounts, a standing ovation (or were they just rushing the door for recess??) he brought in a ton of percussion stuff and taught them some rhythms and they all grooved to Jack-a-moe-fee-na-ne / Iko Iko, among others. It's awesome to be a superstar in your own child's eyes. I think that's why we take this crazy trip of parenthood.
