dave-O
Gotta like Moncton on a Saturday night!Davey Boy, the Civic Centre actually sounds pretty good. They typically set it up for concerts width-wise (as opposed to the usual length-wise at hockey rinks) and it makes for a decent venue.
Velvet
Oh Yeah! I thought he was done playing 'cuz of a problem with his hands. Glad he's back on the horse. I saw Willie a few years ago and it's a great show.

AD
ps - gotta love these Lansdowne shows now that I live next door!Amen to that.I was pissed maybe 2 years ago when he cancelled at Bonnaroo to go play the Country Music Awards or something. But I guess 1 set versus 1 song is an easy decision when you consider his physical problems.Glad to see him come this way. Let's hope he doesn't play much of the 'new' reggae album though. Shotgun Willie all the way.AD

Velvet
When I saw him with moe. and The Dead he played way over two hours and managed in that time to squeeze in over thirty-seven thousand songs. We will all leave happy.
bradm
ISTR it being 1h45; he did, though, just keep playing (even doing some songs twice), with the roadies for The Dead standing just offstage, glaring at him to finish so they could start setting up.When he did "I'll Fly Away" and "Will The Circle Be Unbroken", I just about melted.Aloha,Brad

Hartamophone
I was pissed maybe 2 years ago when he cancelled at Bonnaroo to go play the Country Music Awards or something. But I guess 1 set versus 1 song is an easy decision when you consider his physical problems.ADI was a little bummed too, although it was because of carpal tunnel (sp?) syndrome in one of his wrists - he had to cancel a bunch of dates, not just Bonnaroo. Can't wait for this show. AD
yeah... carpal tunnel is bad news for guitar players. and a physical problem still kinda pissed me off driving past nashville on the way home that he played there. his musicians are good enough to play all his stuff without him, he could've just sung and it would have sounded the same, likely. oh well. glad he's making his amends to me. ollie
This is awesome news and I'm so happy to hear it's being held at the Civic Centre. That venue holds lots of music memories for me.
