the winds of change...

Recommended Posts

so, over the course of the last week or so, i've moved out of my cozy bachelor apartment, where i've been on my own for 2 years and had a fucking hell of a time, to go back into a 2 bedroom apt. with a roommate, hit a bump in the road with the girlfriend, gave notice to my employer that i will be leaving, and switched from PC to Mac.

it's been fairly overwhelming, to say the least, but i see a light at the end of the tunnel - and my shoulders feel a little lighter, which never hurts.

just felt like sharing. onward and upward...

We love ya Guigsy, no matter with whom or where you live..........Its tough for anyone or anything to be in transition, so just know that you are supposed to be feeling some weird things.

"The greatest revolution in our generation is that of human beings, who by changing the inner attitudes of their minds, can change the outer aspects of their lives."

Take that new roomate!!!!

Thanks to the Post title I can't stop singing this.....

Lyrics:Klaus Meine

I folow the Moskva

Down to Gorky Park

Listening to the wind of change

An August summer night

Soldiers passing by

Listening to the wind of change

The world is closing in

Did you ever think

That we could be so close, like brothers

The future's in the air

I can feel it everywhere

Blowing with the wind of change

Take me to the magic of the moment

On a glory night

Where the children of tomorrow dream away

in the wind of change

Walking down the street

Distant memories

Are buried in the past forever

I folow the Moskva

Down to Gorky Park

Listening to the wind of change

Take me to the magic of the moment

On a glory night

Where the children of tomorrow share their dreams

With you and me

Take me to the magic of the moment

On a glory night

Where the children of tomorrow dream away

in the wind of change

The wind of change

Blows straight into the face of time

Like a stormwind that will ring the freedom bell

For peace of mind

Let your balalaika sing

What my guitar wants to say

Take me to the magic of the moment

On a glory night

Where the children of tomorrow share their dreams

With you and me

Take me to the magic of the moment

On a glory night

Where the children of tomorrow dream away

in the wind of change

thanks folks... im actually pretty excited for everything.. it's just been a stressful couple weeks with everyting happening at once and very little of it going smoothly (see the bell thread - and i found out today i wont have hot water for a week or so - yay for cold showers!)... the roommate situation will be great, i think, it's just weird after having gotten used to having my own space.

on the upshot, i'll have a lot more room to host visiting skanks, so dont be shy if you're headed this way for a show.

phorbesie - skype'll happen. :)

mr. hess - i'll give you a better rundown after i've totally immersed myself in it, but right now i really havent had time to get into it. i did borrow a macbook from work for a week or so before i made the decision, and i really loved the system... it's extremely intuitive and runs seemlessly without blips with multiple programs open, which is huge for me. im all geeked up over all the integration possibilities (software, home use, business use, etc...). i picked up an imac, though, not the macbook... we'll see how she goes...
